See What Everyone Wore to the Oscars After-Parties

Thought you’d seen it all when Jennifer Lawrence face-planted in Dior? Wait ’til you see her standing upright in Calvin Klein Collection! Anne Hathaway? She’s got more than that little Prada (and, well, Armani) number up her sartorial sleeve. And Britney Spears? We know you’re dying to see what she wore last night! (Hint: It’s potentially the best she’s ever looked–and for once, we’re not being sarcastic.)

Burberry Fall 2013: Trench Kiss

Burberry Fall 2013: Trench Kiss

It’s too bad Christopher Bailey’s fall 2013 Burberry show missed Valentine’s Day by only about four days. Dubbed ‘Trench Kiss’ by the designer, it was the most romantic, loved-up collection we’ve seen from the designer. Perhaps it was a love note to all of Bailey’s adoring fans–the front row included A-listers like Douglas Booth, Olivia Palermo, Melanie Laurent, Michelle Dockery, Rita Ora, Freida Pinto, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and Kate Beckinsale.

There were hearts and leopard prints, which gave a quirky, girly twist to the brand’s signature trenches and daywear.

H&M is unveiling a new and improved “Statue of David” – that’s right, Becks will be immortalized in three 10 ft high statues as part of the second David Beckham bodywear campaign. We hope Victoria gets to keep one. {WWD}

Eric Daman, the man behind the amazing style on Gossip Girl, talks about his rise from hot male model to celebrated costume designer. {HuffPo}

The center of a lot of (really unnecessary) drama at this summer’s Olympics was gold medalist (!!) Gabby Douglas’s hair. Hair haters can chill out now; celebrity hair stylist Ted Gibson will be taking over Gabby’s mane. {Daily Beast}

Where Nerds and High Fashion Meet: The Best Dressed Celebs at Comic-Con

Comic-Con International wrapped yesterday, and since Hollywood keeps making blockbuster movies based on comics, and sequels based on those comics, and getting A-list stars to star in said movies, the fashion at Comic-Con has gotten pretty good. (Think: YSL and Dior over Princess Leia’s gold bikini). From Kristen Stewart to Jessica Biel and Michelle Williams, Read more →

Jenny Packham Fall 2012: Lovely Lustworthy Leading Ladies

We’ve always thought of the 1940s as being a rather destitute time in American history thanks to the second World War, but not in Jenny Packham’s dreamy world—she prefers to remember that era as the heyday of the vampy femme fatale, which is why it makes perfect sense that Forties-fanatic Dita Von Teese was front and center at yesterday’s catwalk show (dressed in a chic fall 2012 Packham cocktail dress to boot).

And after previewing her fall 2012 offering (you can watch it too, here), it’s no wonder that today’s screen sirens (like Angelina Jolie, Jennifer Lopez, Kate Beckinsale) and fashion’s favorite royal (the Duchess of Cambridge) often call on Packham to dress them in her stunning creations for their official red carpet appearances.

Best Dressed: Golden Globes (Plus the Best Fashion Tweets About Each Look)

The Golden Globes, the first major red carpet event of awards season, has just wrapped. For the most part (save Piper Perabo, Sarah Michelle Geller and Tilda Swinton of course–we salute you girls!), celebrities played it safe in shimmering blush and champagne colored columns. Of course, safe doesn’t mean not pretty (see: Angelina Jolie in Atelier Versace) and black doesn’t mean boring (see Rooney Mara in Nina Ricci).

Click through for our picks for best dressed at the Golden Globes accompanied by our favorite tweets from fashion folks (see: Robin Givhan, “charlize theron in Dior Couture looking fabulous. who needs a creative director?”).

Best Dressed: Comic-Con (That’s Not an Oxymoron)

Comic-Con has been around since the ’70s as a comic book and sci-fi convention for die hard fans. So there has always amazing fashion at Comic-Con–albeit more in the capes and Princess Leia buns vein.

But over the years, it’s expanded in range (now covering anime, video games, fantasy novels etc.,) and size. Today, as films based on comic books continue to become instant summer blockbusters, the convention has become a necessary promotional stop for the actors and actresses starring in said films. Since Comic-Con is not a fancy film festival, stars basically wear whatever they (or their stylists) want. Here are our favorite looks from San Diego.

Fashion News Roundup: Joanna Coles Haul Vlogs, and Lady Gaga (Might Have) Gone Drag for Vogue Hommes

Get a Clue: L.A. boutique Confederacy has teamed up with Francisco Costa to reproduce and sell the iconic white Calvin Klein dress that Alicia Silverstone wore in Clueless. (Recall the scene between Cher and her father: “What the hell is that?” “A dress.” “Says who?” “Calvin Klein.”) The dress will be sold online and in-store for $915. We’re, like, totally excited. {Daily Front Row}

Taylor-Made: Rachel Zoe’s former assistant Taylor Jacobson is now working as Kate Beckinsale’s stylist. It’s a high profile gig for Jacobson. Last thing we heard, she was consulting for denim line Kasil. Maybe her former boss won’t be so harsh now. {Hollywood Life}

The Teacher As Student: You probably wouldn’t expect the Editor-In-Chief of Marie Claire to be taking her cues from haul vloggers Blair and Elle Fowler (ages 16 and 21, respectively), but that’s exactly what she did. Check out Coles’ “What’s In My Bag” spoof vlog. {Marie Claire}
