Michelle Williams Is Still Marilyn Monroe, This Time on GQ‘s Cover: While we await the day magazines will get sick of the Marilyn Monroe theme they so adore, we will bask in Michelle Williams’ editorial shots for GQ, which are quite beautiful. {GQ}

Zappos Gets Hacked: 24 million accounts were affected Monday when a hacker let loose on the online shoe store. Names, addresses, phone numbers, and partial credit card numbers were accessed, causing the e-tailer to encourage its customers to change their password information for the Zappos site, as well as modify passwords for accounts on other sites if they were the same. We will never understand the motives behind hacking, but whoever caused all this trouble better have ordered themselves a good pair of Nikes to run in once the cops come looking for them! {CNN Money}

In news that does not surprise us at all, the always-stylish Rachel Bilson will be the next celebrity to partner with BeachMint on a new ecommerce site. Bilson follows fellow actresses-cum-designers Kate Bosworth (JewelMint) and Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen (StyleMint) and singer Jessica Simpson (BeautyMint) in collaborating with the social commerce platform. Like Kate, Rachel is working with her friend and stylist Nicole Chavez. And since jewelry, tees and beauty products are all covered, they’re doing footwear! The site, which is set to launch in November, will be called ShoeMint and they are partnering with Steve Madden on affordable shoes.

We love Rachel’s style and have to admit we kind of saw this coming–she was JewelMint’s first guest curator and like Kate, Rachel is one of those actresses who, regardless of whether or not she’s working on anything, is constantly in magazines and gossip blogs because of what she’s wearing. I mean, her most memorable acting role is still The O.C., which ended in 2007 and she hasn’t really fallen off our radar since. Though, her new show Hart of Dixie seems promising (right?).

It’s a super-sized best dressed list this week, and the glam quotient was high. Zoe Saldana was pretty in hot pink and floral Giambattista Valli, Victoria Beckham was the perfect walking advertisement for her own line, and Hailee Steinfeld is absolutely charming in Carven. Michelle Monaghan, Leighton Meester, and Kate Bosworth all radiated ladylike perfection in Valentino, Marios Schwab, and Peter Pilotto, respectively. Read more »

LOS ANGELES–When it comes to personal style, there’s no better embodiment of a brazen fashionista than Alexa Chung; and it’s no wonder that Madewell tapped her for a second collaborative collection (sales of her debut collection went through the roof) this fall. InStyle hosted a celebratory soiree in her honor last night, the eve before the collection hits stores, at the Chateau Marmont and packed the house with a stylish set including Amanda Seyfried, Diana Agron, Abbie Cornish, Jena Malone, Zelda Williams and more.

A pop-up shop displaying the entire line occupied guests for hours, while we made the rounds to see just what it is about Chung’s style that’s so decidedly addictive.

“She’s my favorite kind of sexy,” said Kate Bosworth, hot off her European run as the face of Vanessa Bruno. “I think Alexa is so chic and unique and playful. That tomboyish femininity…like she’s not trying too hard. You can tell she’s sharp, totally a smart girl.”

Clad in a prim ivory lace dress from the collection, Elle Fanning excitedly fawned over the fashion before embracing Alexa in a sweet hug to congratulate her. “Everything is so cute! I love Madewell and I love Alexa…having them together is like heaven!” enthused the young actress, who first met Chung at the Met Ball months ago. “She’s really, really fun. I love how she sort of wears baby doll dresses but still has the tomboy thing going on. It suits her so well.”

So what did the girl of the hour have to say about all of the fashion flattery?

Fashion Week is here, and we know what you’re thinking: It’s time to stop by Duane Reade to pick up some extra-strength painkillers to survive my killer-but-actually-killer heels all week long.

Not so, sister, not so.

Blessedly, this year has ushered in an unprecedented level of support (get it?) for shoes that are actually, gasp!, comfortable. Even fashion industry insiders are ditching their sky-high stilettos and platforms for more practical options–Street style catnip Taylor Tomasi Hill even wore sneaker high-tops last season!

So forget hobbling around Lincoln Center–and put a spring in your step with these fashion-industry-approved alternatives to the high heel.

Mulberry‘s first-ever New York flagship opened on Spring street today. In celebration of 5,000 new square feet of Mulbery-ness, they even created a really cute new handbag just for us called the New York Clipper (below right), which features “New York-inspired details,” like an apple, and comes in red, white and blue (they gifted Leah a red one-she says thanks!), which we think is pretty adorable of them.

The style of the bag is chic and timeless. Mulberry definitely has a knack for creating iconic handbags that everyone (especially celebrities) wants to carry and over the last 40 years, they’ve put out a pretty impressive collection. While some brands become known for one iconic handbag style, Mulberry releases hit after hit. So, in honor of their new store and 40th birthday, here’s a guide to the 10 most iconic Mulberry bags. So the next time you see Kate Bosworth carrying any handbag, you’ll know its name!

BeachMint is having a very, very good year.

In October 2010, the internet start-up partnered with Kate Bosworth and celebrity stylist Cher Coulter to launch JewelMint–a members-only site that sells exclusively-designed jewelry by Bosworth and Coulter. Then, in July 2011, BeachMint launched StyleMint–a similar shopping platform, except this time with the Olsens shilling t-shirts. Now, WWD, is reporting that the online powerhouse is ready for its next venture: Beauty.

BeachMint is partnering with Jessica Simpson and celebrity aesthetician Nerida Joy to sell anti-aging skincare using the same retail model as JewelMint and StyleMint.
