Attend New York Fashion Week From Your Couch: A Complete List of Shows Livestreaming This Week

New York is unreasonably cold right now. Like impending-blizzard-freeze-your-Rag & Bone-covered-butt-off cold. This is exactly why we, and fashionistas nowhere near New York, are praising the fashion gods (more like IMG & various PR people) for the glorious amount of New York fashion week shows livestreaming this week. We wrangled 89 shows (89!) and presentations to tune into over the course of the next week…with even more coming in! The best part? You won’t be judged for taking in these shows in your pjs over some popcorn or pizza or half a bottle of wine…

See any shows we missed? Let us know!

Fashion News Roundup: Hello Kitty Lingerie is On the Way, Adriana Lima is the Latest Pregnant Angel, and Anna Wintour Hosts a Democratic Party

Hello Kitty Lingerie Coming Soon: Lingerie brand Hanky Panky has teamed up with everyone’s favorite mouthless cartoon cat, Hello Kitty, on a collection of undergarments. (Why no mouth? Because Hello Kitty “speaks from the heart.”) Since there are honestly too many R-rated, half-witty comments and puns just begging to be made about this collaboration, we’ll spare you entirely and will simply say: The collection launches in May. {Racked}

Another Victoria’s Secret Angel is Pregnant: There must be something in the holy water at Victoria’s Secret because yet another Angel is pregnant! Adriana Lima announced yesterday that she’s expecting her second child, which puts her on the growing list of growing bikini babes (including Lily Aldridge and Alessandra Ambrosio). No word on how far along she is, but the VS Fashion Show takes place in November (8 mos away), and we wouldn’t be a bit surprised if she shows up with a six pack. {People}

Anna Wintour Parties with the Democrats: As the election creeps closer, fashion’s love affair with the Democratic Party hasn’t shown signs of fading. Monday night, Anna Wintour hosted a fund-raiser to re-elect NY Senator Dem Kirsten Gillibrand, who also sat front row at Carolina Herrera’s show last month. Other politically savvy fashion folk in attendance included DVF, Kenneth Cole, Francisco Costa, and Michel Kors. {WWD}

Fashion News Roundup: Alber Spreads Romance, One Royal Chooses Her Wedding Dress, and Jimmy Choo for Dudes

Alber Elbaz Steals Our Heart Again: To celebrate the upcoming summer wedding of Prince Albert of Monaco to Charlene Wittstock, Elbaz has teamed up with the Hotel Métropole Monte-Carlo in Monaco to create a romantic package for two that features Elbaz-designed cocktails and treats, a Lanvin Gift, and helicopter ride over the French Riviera. Swoon.

Jimmy Choo For Dudes: All the men out there who have ever envied a woman’s shoe collection can now sport their own Jimmy Choo’s. Tamara Mellon has designed a men’s line that includes a range of high tops, biker boots, gentleman’s evening slippers, and even those croc Hunter wellies. The collection will be available to order online in July.
{Telegraph}

An Abrupt End to Tao Comme Des Garcons: Tao Kurihara’s Spring/Summer 2011 collection shown in Paris last October will unfortunately be her last. The designer will instead focus on the Tricot Comme Des Garcons label shown twice a year in Tokyo.

We Hung Out With Sir Philip Green, Andrew Rosen, and Several Other Fashion Big Shots Last Night

We Hung Out With Sir Philip Green, Andrew Rosen, and Several Other Fashion Big Shots Last Night

Topshop’s Sir Philip Green. Theory honcho Andrew Rosen. Designer Kenneth Cole. HSN CEO Mindy Grossman. Put them in a room with 300 other top retail CEOs and execs and what do you get? The Financo Forum, held last night at the Harmonie Club.

The event, organized annually by Financo (the top fashion/retail investment bank), is a hot ticket for industry insiders. The lively panel discussion and networking session gives attendees the rare chance to collectively review the state of the retail industry, to share insights and to socialize with their elite peers.

The forum’s focus this year was on all things digital. Although e-commerce and social media hardly seem to be new topics, they’re something many retailers are still trying to learn more about. Financo Chairman Gilbert Harrison explained that the goal was to “help navigate the new world, and to ultimately drive sales and profits.” The panel included Ben Fischman, CEO of Rue La La, Chip Wilson, Founder/Chief Innovation and Branding Officer of Lululemon Athletica, Stephen Zangre of Facebook and Dan Schock of Google, and was moderated by CNBC anchor Nicole Lapin.

A few key takeaways:

Mayor Bloomberg Talks Fashion’s Night Out While Anna Wintour, Mary-Kate Olsen, and Other CFDA Members Stand There

After living here for a while, you sometimes forget how many amazing people live and work in New York City. When we walked into City Hall for the Fashion’s Night Out kick-off press conference today, we went through security with Lisa Mayock from Vena Cava.

Then, we saw Anna Wintour walking ahead of us and Alex Wang suddenly appeared behind us. A few minutes later Marc Jacobs, Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez walked in. After we were seated inside the press conference room, the following people (in addition to the aforementioned) surrounded the podium: Prabal Gurung, Zac Posen, Phillip Lim, Tracy Reese, Kenneth Cole, Donna Karan, Carolina Herrera, Tommy Hilfiger, Thakoon Panichgul, Marcus Wainwright from Rag & Bone, Francisco Costa, Vera Wang, Tory Burch, Steven Kolb, Linda Fargo, the Mayor…and after a few moments, we noticed tiny Mary-Kate Olsen peeking her head out behind Marc.

Then, unfortunately, we died and are thus unable to report anything else about Fashion’s Night Out.

Just kidding – sort of.

Fashion You Can Feel Good About: Our Top Picks That Benefit The Oil Cleanup

The oil spill is ravaging our nation’s coast, but some of us are too far away to pitch in and help—at least physically. However, there are a few charitable companies who are raising money for the cause with their wares. Here, we round up the most stylish ways to pitch in. Of course, we advocate donating to the cause directly so the most is made of your money, but that doesn’t mean you can’t do this, too.
