It sounds like WSJ‘s new editor Kristina O’Neill is off to a good start putting her own spin on the magazine following Deborah Needleman’s departure. She’s hired a new columnist whose name you might recognize: Karl Lagerfeld.
Let the poaching begin.
Kristina O’Neill has been in her new role as editor-in-chief of WSJ for only one week (she officially started on October 29), but she’s already poached at least one senior editor from Harper’s Bazaar, where she previously worked for 10 years.
Yesterday, we reported that Kristina O’Neill, formerly of Harper’s Bazaar, would be replacing Deborah Needleman as editor-in-chief of WSJ. And today, WWD has a little more dirt on the subject–namely, who was passed over for the coveted position.
Ever since Deborah Needleman left WSJ for T we’ve been wondering who would replace her at her former post. And now we have our answer: Kristina O’Neill, formerly of Harper’s Bazaar, has been named editor-in-chief of WSJ.
