Laetitia Casta on Modeling With Choupette: ‘I Was So F*****g Scared’

Laetitia Casta has done and seen a lot throughout her lengthy modeling career. Naturally, there have been some standout moments, one of which happened just this year: her 10-page, death-defying editorial in V‘s September issue, for which Karl Lagerfeld photographed her with his precious kitten Choupette. The latest Harper’s Bazaar UK cover girl (see the Read more →

Would You Rather…? Laetitia Casta Styled By Carine Roitfeld or Emmanuelle Alt on the Cover of Vogue Paris

Continuing the recent resurgence of ’90s supermodels, Laetitia Casta graces the cover of Vogue Paris’ May 2012 issue (left). While the cover hasn’t gotten the warmest reception from Fashion Spot commenters, we like the fresh, effortless simplicity and how it showcases Casta’s natural beauty. Still, it’s a far cry from pre-Emmanuelle Alt covers and, as Read more →

Guess Who? A Look Back at the Ten Most Famous Guess Girls

Guess Who? A Look Back at the Ten Most Famous Guess Girls

We were all completely blown away by the images released earlier today of Claudia Schiffer’s new campaign for Guess, twenty-three years after the German supermodel originally posed for the brand. Two decades later, the lady still looks as Guess-girl flawless as she did back in 1989, before she attained her supermodel status.

It got us to thinking: In the thirty years of Guess’s existence, which other big-names got their industry start modeling for the brand? We did a little digging, and as it turns out, there have been quite a few more than you might Guess (ha!). It seems like Victoria’s Secret (you know, that other brand known for its seriously sexy campaign starlets) has a habit of plucking its Angels from the pool of genetically blessed Guess girls. And then, there have also been a few Guess missteps (coughParis Hilton). Click through for some of the lucky girls who’ve followed in Claudia’s well-pedicured footsteps: Scoring both a Guess contract and the (generally) good career fortune that seems to follow, with a few exceptions.

The Best Magazine Covers of 2011

Dont judge a book by its cover… Unless it’s a magazine, in which case, sometimes the cover is the deciding factor of whether or not to buy the mag altogether.

The best covers of 2011 returned to a new naturalism and a fun aesthetic, like the Lara Stone T cover we’re still drooling over, pictured at left. Sure, there’s still room for artifice in fashion (see: Stella Tennant on Vogue Italia), but 2011 was a year for reflecting on natural beauties, incredible models, and stellar photography.

After toiling over hundred of covers, we’re bringing you “The Best” according to us. Did we forget your favorite? Let us know in the comments.
