It’s Thanksgiving! The one day a year the fashion world puts aside its fad diets and smizes in favor of that extra slice of pumpkin pie and some awkward yet so-necessary family photos. To keep things light on this day of heavy feasting, we asked some of our favorite people in the industry what fashion things (what else?) they’re thankful for.

A Lower East Side refugee myself, I stopped by The Carlyle last night for a drink around 8 expecting to be surrounded by upper east side regulars and maybe a couple of the fashion people and celebrities rumored to be holed up in the iconic hotel. Instead, I felt like I was at a downtown fashion week after party.

When H&M billed the fête for their new Lana del Rey-led campaign as an “exclusive and private performance,” they weren’t kidding.
