Tom Ford to Show at London Fashion Week in September. Will People Actually Be Invited?

The London Fashion Week S/S 2012 schedule is official, and Tom Ford is on it. You’ll recall that his first show took place under James Bond-ish secrecy in New York. He showed his second collection in London, but it was in a series of private appointments at which attendees had to sign privacy agreements. Critics were not welcome.

Now it seems that Ford is playing nice and doing a proper presentation, you know, like everyone else does. Who will be invited, and whether or not they’ll be “allowed” to share images or impressions of the show remains to be seen. Further adding to the confusion is the way Ford’s show is listed on the official London Fashion Week schedule.

Victoria Beckham To Show In London?: As the Beckhams settle into London for David’s new temp gig with the Tottenham Hotspur, rumors have been swirling that Victoria will show her A/W 2011 collection there this season. Sources “close to” Beckham dished that she is getting her collection ready for London Fashion Week. But a British Fashion Week spokesperson told Vogue UK: “Victoria is not showing in London this season.” Who to believe? {VogueUK}

Now Your Nails Can Look, Er, Glee-morous: Sephora by OPI will be launching a limited edition set of nail colors inspired by Glee. They’ll hit stores in February and will include such colors as Slushied, Hell to the No, Gleek Out, Diva-in-Training, Who Let the Dorks Out, and Miss Bossy Pants (or, if you prefer: blue, purple, lime green, poppy pink, peacock green, and raspberry). Heidi Mount’s Husband Accused of Rape at LFW

Shawn Mount, hairstylist and husband of famed supermodel Heidi Mount, has been accused of sexually assaulting a 24-year-old model at a West London Hotel during London Fashion Week.

According to UK newspaper The Daily Mail, the attack happened on September 20 around 1:30 am. The next day, Mount was arrested and interviewed by a central London police station. He was later bailed out but ordered to return on November 10. “He has not been charged and we are still investigating.” says a Scotland Yard spokesman.

London Spring 2011 was hands down my favorite fashion week ever. Shocked, are you? Once you feel the energy, see the masterful technique, and find yourself wide-eyed by the innovation, you’ll understand where I’m coming from. Here are my ten favorites.

Remember how earlier this week we said the fashion industry is slowly but surely beginning to embrace technology? Well, here’s more proof.

Yesterday, Burberry unveiled their ‘Retail Theatre’ concept, which completely reshapes the way consumers shop for their Spring/Summer 2011 womenswear collection.

On September 21, Burberry will be broadcasting their 2011 S/S London Fashion Week show, live from London Fashion Week, to 25 flagship stores worldwide, heigthening the in-store experience for invited guests.
