Kate Middleton can now add a new title to her already-distinguished name: The Duchess of Campbridge has been voted Britain’s most naturally beautiful woman. {In Style UK}
Marion Cotillard continues her world tour as the face of Lady Dior. Next stop: The Hamptons! After having starred in campaigns shot in Paris, New York, Shanghai, London and Los Angeles, the actress was lensed by Jean-Baptiste Mondino on the beach in the Hamptons for Lady Dior’s latest campaign. {WWD}
Forever 21 is in legal trouble again–though this time it’s not for violating intellectual property rights. The US Department of Labor has served the fast fashion retailer with a subpoena, after they failed to turn over pertinent documents concerning the labor practices of their apparel contractors and manufacturers. The documents were originally requested because investigators found some goods were being manufactured in “sweatshop-like conditions.” {WWD}
Fashion’s Night Out is tonight and it’s go-time to strategize your partying shopping itinerary. Will it be high-profile gimmicks that motivate you? Or the copious amount of free boozy beverages and sweet snacks in Soho? Perhaps you’re into music. Not to throw a wrench in your lineup so early on, but how about this one for you: Hot guys and shopping.
It’s baaaack. Like it or not, Fashion’s Night Out keeps chugging along–and the official website for the globally expanding shopping extravaganza, now in its fourth year, is up and running. As has become the norm for FNO (or what is more accurately a boozy Halloween for shopping enthusiasts), come September 6, stores across NYC and Read more →
Project Runway‘s getting a new retail partnership for its 10th season; but in a way, they’re going back to the beginning. After six seasons of e-tail partnerships with Bluefly and then Piperlime, they’re going with Lord & Taylor. As you may recall, the show’s original retail sponsor when we still watched it it was on Bravo, was another department store–Macy’s. Clearly, the show is eager to go back to the old formula, and having a department store sponsor–as opposed to an e-commerce one–could be a part of that.
A retail sponsorship with Project Runway means a few things, but mainly that, throughout the season, contestants (who don’t have meltdowns and leave) will choose pieces from the Lord & Taylor accessory wall to complete their looks and that the winner of the contest will have their collection sold by the retailer.
Heidi Klum and Seal Aren’t The Kind Who Have Nasty Break-Ups: We’ve watched a lot of nasty celebrity divorces unfold (see: Demi & Ashton), but just a day after confirming his breakup with his supermodel wife, Heidi Klum, Seal is assuring us that his divorce will not be drama-filled (at least not publicly). The singer told Tavis Smiley: “We’re just not those kind of people. What one has to do in this situation is to remain civil, to retain one’s dignity, to be professional, and to understand that we are not the only people on this planet that are going through this.” {ONTD}
Get Ready for Zac Posen x Lord & Taylor: The young designer is teaming up with the retailer to curate a capsule collection of twelve dresses ranging from $149 to $199. More affordable Zac Posen? We don’t hate it! {StyleCaster}
Solange Knowles is Perfection in February’s InStyle: We dare you to identify the flaws in Solange Knowles’ shoot for InStyle magazine. Oh wait, you can’t, because it’s flawless. The DJ and new aunt rocks her signature prints and turbans for a super fun spread in this month’s issue of the glossy. We’ll be needing every single outfit in our size, thank you very much. {My Damn Blog}
We can’t believe Fashion’s Night Out (and, thus, fashion week) is only a week away. As anyone who has ever been to a Fashion’s Night Out is probably aware, they pack enough events to fill an entire week into just a few hours, so pre-FNO planning is key. While Vogue‘s interactive map is quite handy, that is still a lot of stores to go through. So, we’re preparing a few of our own Fashion’s Night Out guides.
This one is for those of you who just want to see some famous people. We don’t blame you! Fashion’s Night Out offers rare opportunities to get up close and personal with real Hollywood stars. Maybe Tilda Swinton and Ne-Yo will become friends or Daniel Radcliffe will get wasted or Alexa Chung will debut a new haircut or Seth Meyers will screw up your drink or the Real Housewives of New York will be insane (that last one is the most likely)! Here’s our guide to where all your favorite celebs will be.

The only thing more daunting that Fashion Week is turning out to be Fashion’s Night Out. Given there are really only two of Read more →
