Challenging the notion that Marc Jacobs’s latest collection for Louis Vuitton–comprised largely of slips, playsuits and negligees–is only appropriate for the bedroom, several of the show’s top models took them out to the streets.
New York Fashion Week is in full swing, and the street style is better than ever. It’s day two and we’ve got our street style photographer pounding the pavement capturing some of our favorite fashion personalities, like Magdalena Frackowiak, Stephanie LaCava, and Natalie Joos. The best covers of 2011 returned to a new naturalism and a fun aesthetic, like the Lara Stone T cover we’re still drooling over, pictured at left. Sure, there’s still room for artifice in fashion (see: Stella Tennant on Vogue Italia), but 2011 was a year for reflecting on natural beauties, incredible models, and stellar photography.
