Fashionista Week in Review: Kelly Cutrone Busts Her Thieving Ex-Assistant, Mark Zuckerberg Loses His Hoodie, and Penis Print Pants Exist

Dressing Up Zuckerberg: Zuckerberg may be disgustingly rich now, but even ringing the NASDAQ bell to celebrate taking Facebook public wasn’t enough to get the Zuckster out of that damn hoodie. We got some of our favorite stylish dudes to play dress up with the Face of Facebook.

Delivery.com-Addicted Assistant Steals from Kelly Cutrone: We would never steal a seat from PR powerhouse Kelly Cutrone, let alone money, but that’s just what one crazypants assistant did. We talked to Cutrone, and she shared more unbelievable details about the situation. Good luck finding a fashion job now, kiddo.

Carrie Bradshaw’s Life Changing Accessory: According to Sarah Jessica Parker and Patricia Fields, our beloved Carrie Bradshaw may never have become the fashion plate we know her as without the Fendi Baguette.

Kim K Will Be in Vogue: It’s happening whether Anna Wintour likes it or not: Kim Kardashian will appear in L’Uomo Vogue. Kim Kardashian! In a Vogue!

More Details on Fairchild’s Acquisition of NowManifest: BryanBoy and Rumi Neely Had No Idea It Was Happening

More Details on Fairchild’s Acquisition of NowManifest: BryanBoy and Rumi Neely Had No Idea It Was Happening

Seemingly out of nowhere, Fairchild Fashion Media, the unit of Condé Nast that publishes WWD and Style.com, announced that they had acquired NowManifest, which “hosts” fashion blogs BryanBoy, Fashion Toast, Anna Dello Russo, Mr. Blasberg, and Style by Kling. The acquisition is interesting because it means people who were once independent style bloggers are now part of one of the biggest media companies in existence. However, it also raises some questions, like…

Does Fairchild now technically own all of those blogs? Were the bloggers in on the deal? Or even aware of it? What changes will NowManifest and each of the blogs undergo as a result of the acquisition? What about editorial content?

While BryanBoy tells us he’s “thrilled to be working with Fairchild,” he reveals that he and the other bloggers–meaning Rumi Neely, Derek Blasberg and Anna Dello Russo–didn’t even know about the acquisition until less than 24 hours before it was announced–and even then he was lead to believe it was simply a partnership.

Fairchild Fashion Media Buys Blogger Network of BryanBoy, Elin Kling, Rumi Neely and Anna Dello Russo

Fairchild Fashion Media (FFM), a unit of Conde Nast that owns a number of publications including WWD, Style.com, and Style.com/Print, is (finally?) getting into the personal style blogging business.

The company’s president Gina Sanders announced in a press release today that FFM has acquired Fashion Networks International (FNI), best known for their site NowManifest, which hosts the blogs of Elin Kling, BryanBoy, Anna Dello Russo, Fashion Toast’s Rumi Neely and Derek Blasberg as well as Industrie Magazine.

Founded by Christian Remröd and style blogger/businesswoman Elin Kling, FNI (which also owns Bloglovin and Freshnet) is a great example of a new media company that fundamentally “gets” the internet, garnering 1.2 million unique visitors per month to their NowManifest platform alone. No doubt it’s this expertise (and ability to drive traffic) that FFM, a media company with a more traditional background, wants to harness.

Bryanboy, Rumi Neely and Elin Kling Are Now All On One Site and Possibly Setting Up Shop in NYC

Why travel from store to store when it’s quicker and easier to get your shopping done at the mall? This seems to be the philosophy behind superblog Nowmanifest.

The new site is a one-stop shop for the leading personal style blogs. Starting last month, the individual online locations of Bryanboy, Rumi Neely‘s Fashiontoast, Elin King‘s Style by Kling, and the digital counterpart of Industrie magazine, bacame part of the Nowmanifest network.

The homepage boasts instant updates from each of the bloggers–their posts, Twitter feed, and comments from their readers, so you never have to miss a dramatic photo of Rumi in a parking lot or a drunken tweet from Bryanboy.
