It’s too bad Christopher Bailey’s fall 2013 Burberry show missed Valentine’s Day by only about four days. Dubbed ‘Trench Kiss’ by the designer, it was the most romantic, loved-up collection we’ve seen from the designer. Perhaps it was a love note to all of Bailey’s adoring fans–the front row included A-listers like Douglas Booth, Olivia Palermo, Melanie Laurent, Michelle Dockery, Rita Ora, Freida Pinto, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley, and Kate Beckinsale.
There were hearts and leopard prints, which gave a quirky, girly twist to the brand’s signature trenches and daywear.
Kudos to Topshop for pulling the best front row I’ve seen all week–hell, all month. Demi Lovato (on crutches after a foot injury), Daisy Lowe, Pixie Geldof, One Direction’s Louis Tomlinson and his girlfriend Eleanor Calder, Kate Bosworth and her husband, and Olivia Palermo all wedged in next to each other to take in the show, which opened with the totally-inescapable model of the moment Cara Delevingne.
Like the front row, the collection offered an eclectic mix.
We love gawking at street style , but the front rows were also filled with well-heeled celebs whose outfits were equally worthy of our attention this past New York Fashion Week.
