Target held a press preview today for the second installment of The Shops at Target, and yet again the retail giant delivers affordable goods with serious street cred. For those of you not in the know yet, the concept is this: Target taps off-the-beaten-path, often high-end boutiques from around the country to collaborate on collections that are sold in a “shop within-a-store” feel. The “shops” have replaced our beloved Go Target designer collaborations–but there’s no reason to be sad about it.
Following the success of the first round which included collections from The Webster (Miami’s go-to for luxe shopping) and Cos Bar (Aspen’s premier beauty boutique), Target revealed a second round to hit stores September 9th. The biggest buzz surrounds Kirna Zabete, the Soho boutique that has helped foster the careers of heavy hitters like Rick Owens and Proenza thanks to savvy owners Sarah Easley and Beth Buccini.
