BCBG’s Max Azria Is Being Sued for $220 Million Over Playboy Condom Deal Gone Wrong

BCBG’s Max Azria Is Being Sued for $220 Million Over Playboy Condom Deal Gone Wrong

Max Azria has gotten himself into a pretty sticky situation. According to TMZ, BCBG‘s chairman is currently being sued for $220 million–and the case has nothing to do with handbags or bandage dresses.

Jimmy Esebag, some dude who has apparently deep ties with Playboy, filed suit against Azria over a deal gone bad to market Playboy-branded condoms at Wal-Mart. Bet you didn’t see that coming.

According to Eseberg’s suit, Azria made false promises that he could “move any mountain he wanted to make the venture work,” when, in fact, Wal-Mart passed on the deal. But that’s not all Azria apparently said. Eseberg claims that Azria has said some pretty absurd/hilarious things:

Is Lindsay Lohan Finally Getting Her S**t Together? A Look Back at her Sartorial Progress in 2011

Is Lindsay Lohan Finally Getting Her S**t Together? A Look Back at her Sartorial Progress in 2011

Lindsay Lohan spent most of 2011 the same way she spent most of 2010: in and out of courtrooms. Even though she served a few days of jail time and spent three months in Betty Ford last year, she emerged from the rehab center in January with plenty of court hearings ahead of her, and a slew of heavily scrutinized courtroom outfits.

Our friends at Above the Law recently offered their take on Lindsay’s most memorable courtroom outfits and their subsequent media scrutiny. Although she left her “Fuck you” manicure back in 2010, the legal blog found fault with the short hemlines, form-fitting silhouettes and apparent distaste for bras Lohan flaunted in the beginning of the year. However, as ATL suggests, her lawyers may have given her some advice (that she actually listened to) because her latest courtroom outfit is a far cry from the questionable Basic Instinct number below.

We’re not sure if it’s her supposed sobriety, her sanity is slowly returning or she’s starting to learn from her mistakes, but it looks like Lohan’s trainwreck days could maybe finally be behind her.

Lindsay Lohan To Pose for Playboy, Possibly in the Nude

Lindsay Lohan To Pose for Playboy, Possibly in the Nude

We’ve already seen her nipples, breasts and far too much of her crotchal area thanks to some serious wardrobe malfunctions, so really it was only a matter of time until Lindsay Lohan cashed in on doing what she does best (besides missing court dates and stumbling out of clubs): Exposing herself.

And, according to TMZ, that time has come. Lohan has finally agreed to pose for Playboy–and she’s charging a pretty penny for it too.

The Blonds Spring 2012: Playboy Bunny with a Twist

The Blonds Spring 2012: Playboy Bunny with a Twist

Dear The Blonds,

Thanks for putting on the most fun show of fashion week. After days of sitting properly watching lovely shift dresses walk back and forth, it was really great to mingle with the over-the-top crowd and cheer for the models. And the clothes, they were great too. Because there’s nothing to counter this season’s sedated sex appeal like Phillip Blond dressed as a Playboy Bunny. And he looked better than most of the Hef’s actual bunnies, too. (Did we mention Playboy sponsored the show?)

Sincerely yours,

Steff

Fashion Folk Pick Their Favorite Vintage Playboy Pix

Fashion Folk Pick Their Favorite Vintage Playboy Pix

Playboy is (finally) putting their entire archives online at iPlayboy.com, accessible through phone, iPad, and laptop. Yes, the entire archives. Are you drooling yet?

To celebrate, the mag asked some fashion/art/film folk to pick out their favorite images from Playboys of the past for an exhibit which opened last night at Partners and Spade (and lives online too). This group of fashion-y curators included: Simon Doonan, Waris Alhuwalia, André Balazs, and Sarah Shotton, the creative director of Agent Provacateur among others. Unsurprisingly everyone played it safe–less lady bits and more culture.

The party, however, featured large prints of Playboy bunnies on the wall for sale at $1500 a pop. Naturally the retro styles and naked woman were a conversation topic among the trillions of guests. (Seriously, was all of the East Village there to make up for Simon Doonan’s absence?)

There was such a large young crowd, so I did some investigative journalism and ask the guests what makes vintage Playboy so alluring to twenty-somethings today. (Hint: no one said the articles.)

So click through to see the images selected by big shots (plus their commentary from the exhibit) and to find out what motivates contemporary readers to revisit Playboy’s past. (Obvs NSFW)
