Daphne Guinness Will Be a Window Display Again, Says Barneys Exhibit Was Overwhelming

Remember last spring, when Daphne Guinness famously “got dressed for the Met Ball” in a Barneys window? Well, it turns out that may have just been the first of many of the socialite-turned-performance artist’s forays into department store window displays.

However, for her next turn, Guinness won’t actually be in the window in real life, but in the form of “virtual statues.” According to WWD, she’s working with Nick Knight’s SHOWstudio for window displays at Printemps in Paris called “Visions Couture” to use “cutting-edge three-dimensional scanning technology” to create these statues from photographic images. She will model looks by Paco Rabanne, Gareth Pugh, Maison Martin Margiela, Rick Owens and Junya Watanabe.

This Just In: Offer for Lacroix

The details are not all in yet, but WWD is just now reporting that a serious offer has been made for Christian Lacroix. Last week, word was circulating that Bernard Krief Consultants planned to put in a bid for the company, but apparently the offer was not good enough, as were apparently two other bids. Read more →
