In news that does not surprise us at all, the always-stylish Rachel Bilson will be the next celebrity to partner with BeachMint on a new ecommerce site. Bilson follows fellow actresses-cum-designers Kate Bosworth (JewelMint) and Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen (StyleMint) and singer Jessica Simpson (BeautyMint) in collaborating with the social commerce platform. Like Kate, Rachel is working with her friend and stylist Nicole Chavez. And since jewelry, tees and beauty products are all covered, they’re doing footwear! The site, which is set to launch in November, will be called ShoeMint and they are partnering with Steve Madden on affordable shoes.

We love Rachel’s style and have to admit we kind of saw this coming–she was JewelMint’s first guest curator and like Kate, Rachel is one of those actresses who, regardless of whether or not she’s working on anything, is constantly in magazines and gossip blogs because of what she’s wearing. I mean, her most memorable acting role is still The O.C., which ended in 2007 and she hasn’t really fallen off our radar since. Though, her new show Hart of Dixie seems promising (right?).

If there’s one thing Fashion’s Night Out is good for, it’s seeing celebrities. As our street research taught us, people may not drop dollars but they will turn up in droves for a Kardashian or Anna Wintour, even if it means hours standing in a line jostled by other sweaty, excited, semi-drunk people. While it [...]

Don’t let the name fool you: The Teen Choice Awards are not just for the tweens anymore. Actually, over the past few years the Teen Choice Awards have emerged as one of our favorite red carpets to watch because celebrities take more risks on this carpet, new starlets make their debuts, and the prizes are surfboards, for god’s sake. Need we say more?

The only thing that bummed us out this year is that some of our favorite actual teen stars–Elle Fanning, Hailee Steinfeld among them–were absent.

Check out our favorite looks from last night’s award show.

Chanel front rows and party lines, especially over the past few years, always draw an elite group of Chanel-clad ladies who might collectively be referred to as “it girls.” Actresses, models, socialites and DJs make up this group but what they all seem to have in common is beauty, great style and some kind of cultural relevance that Karl or someone at Chanel recognizes as fitting with the Chanel brand. That and the ability to look amazing in Chanel and always catch our attention.

About two years ago, Chanel threw a dinner party and announced an “official list” of five Chanel ambassadors: Leigh Lezark, Jen Brill, Poppy Delevingne, Vanessa Traina, and Caroline Sieber. Others, like Elisa Sednaoui and, back in the day, Ines de la Fressange, have been casually referred to as Karl’s muses.

But, there are still others, like Rachel Bilson, Alexa Chung and newest and youngest member Elle Fanning (!), whose “roles” in the Chanel world were undefined, until now. A tip sheet for last night’s Chanel couture show, revealed by the Telegraph’s Belinda White, literally places bold names expected to attend into a carefully ranked multi-tier system. The categories range from “Japanese celebrities” to “Chanel Ambassadress.” Here they are in what I’m guessing is ascending order.

W’s Music Muse Spread: An awesome photo slide show from the magazine’s current issue captures fashion designers with their musical inspirations. Amazing pairs include Rodarte and Kanye, M.I.A. and Donatella Versace, Karl and Janelle Monae (Lagerfeld’s quote: “And Janelle rhyme’s with Chanel, no?”). {W}

Carine Roitfeld To Launch An Independent Magazine? Forget about French Harper’s Bazaar. The latest rumor swirling around Paris is that the stylist might launch her own indie magazine. Sounds similar to what Olivier Zahm was spewing at New York Fashion Week last February. {Hint}

Weird Al Parodies Born This Way: It’s hilarious, especially since Al’s head is digitally fixed onto a male dancer’s body and sort of bobbles. {Styleite}

Karl Lagerfeld presented his 73-look resort collection for Chanel yesterday in Cannes. All his starlet muses were there including Blake Lively, who was eagerly snapping photos of the show with her iPhone (just like us!) and gushed to WWD, “My gosh, I think I’m going to move here!” Lagerfeld’s Magnum ice cream girl Rachel Bilson, Clemence Poesy, and Alexa Chung were also among the 200 attendees.

The runway was packed with top models–including vets like Stella Tennant and Kristen McMenamy, who walked the runway in a high-cut bathing suit (and gave every girl motivation to look that good at 42).

Last night, more industry A-listers than we can count flocked to the IAC building on Manhattan’s west side–for dessert.

To clarify, when infamously diet-obsessed Kaiser Karl collaborates with an ice cream company, interest is piqued. There to celebrate the the Lagerfeld-directed series of short films promoting Magnum’s US debut (a brand of creamy frozen sweets quite popular across the Atlantic), celebs like Sky Ferreira and Kim Raver sipped chocolate-infused cocktails and mingled in the atrium. They were joined by some serious fashion bigwigs, from Anna Wintour and Patrick Demarchelier to designers Olivier Theyskens and the Costello Tagliapietra duo, as well as a flurry of models including Crystal Renn and Charlotte di Calypso.

As we enjoyed our cocoa-spiked prosecco, we were ushered into an adjacent hall for a few opening remarks from Tribeca Productions co-founder Jane Rosenthal. “I’ve basically been on a diet ever since learning we were teaming up with Magnum ice cream!” she laughed, introducing both Lagerfeld and Rachel Bilson, the star of the shorts. “Karl, you’re the rock star at this year’s festival,” Rosenthal said. With that, lights dimmed and the mini-flicks began. So what did we learn?
