Prada’s Opening a Museum for 24 Hours

Fashion museum exhibitions are a dime a dozen this year, but some of them have been pretty unconventional–one example being Valentino’s virtual museum. And in a way, Prada’s latest project is the opposite of that. While Valentino’s museum is accessible at any time, forever; Prada, whose creative director has her own Met exhibit coming up, is staging an exhibition in Paris for a very limited time: 24 hours.

It’s aptly called “24h Museum” and Francesco Vezzoli designed it with AMO, Rem Koolhaas’ think tank. So, what we will be in it? Not clothes, it seems.

Prada’s Spring 2011 Dance Party Continues with “Real Fantasies” Video

Can’t get enough of Prada’s amazing and cerebral videos? Well here’s another dose of Miuccia’s medicine.

“Real Fantasies” is Prada’s latest video directed by James Lima. Prada models show off their best dance moves (which range from Ginta’s groovy hip swings to Stam’s walk-in-place technique) to a variety of surreal, uncanny, and psychedelic backgrounds courtesy of OMA, Rem Koolhaas’ hip architectural collective founded in the ’70s. Existing somewhere between art image and fashion promotional film, “Real Fantasies” is sure to make anyone wish that their reality was filled with banana-prints and striped heels.
