Reality TV Stars Kylie Jenner, Sammi ‘Sweetheart’ Giancola To Hit New York Fashion Week

Katie Holmes isn’t the only small screen star hitting up New York fashion week this September (yes, we will always think of Holmes as Joey Potter on Dawson’s Creek-sorry!). Jersey Shore cast member Sammi ‘Sweetheart’ Giancola will debut her “Sammi Sweetheart Collection” fitness line with SXE fitness (think leggings with hearts on the butt) on Read more →

The Jersey Shore‘s Sammi “Sweetheart” Launches Jewelry Line for RichRocks

There’s been a dearth lately of Jersey Shore fashion products. For a while there it seemed like every week brought news of a new line of underwear or slippers or hair extensions from one of the cast members. But where’s the Snooki merch now? What’s happening to Filthy Couture?

Thank goodness, then, for Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola, who just launched a limited edition collection of jewelry for RichRocks. It’s no surprise to see Sammi making a foray into the world of fashion–she said as much a few months ago. But, she told Gurl.com “I’d love to get into fashion and designing hair extensions and hair products.” Who can say what inspired the Jersey Shore hair goddess to get into bling over hair extensions. All we know is that Sammi’s line of blinged out very literal sweetheart-shaped jewelry is here.

Take a look. Nothing’s over $40.

Fragrance Friday: What’s Coming To A Perfume Counter Near You

Fragrance Friday: What’s Coming To A Perfume Counter Near You

WWD is chock full of fragrance news today. Let’s review.

Rihanna’s Reb’l Fleur: Rihanna‘s fragrance launches January 25, and you can expect it to be accompanied by a very loud advertising campaign. She’ll be on billboards everywhere, including Times Square in NYC. A 30-second video will be launched online with hopes it will go viral (isn’t it funny that this is now a marketing strategy?) The video will also be made into a commercial that will be shown in 1,900 movie theaters.

The fragrance name refers to Rihanna’s nickname given to her by her grandmother in Barbados. It’s a strong scent with fruit notes, hibiscus, violet, coconut water, vanilla, patchouli, amber, and musk. Rihanna said it will be “like high heels with a short, flirty dress.” Prices will range from $30-$59.

Gucci Guilty For Guys: Gucci Guilty has killed it at perfume counters, in no small part because of its video starring Evan Rachel Wood and an innovative online marketing strategy. Gucci and P&G Luxury are hoping to capitalize again on the younger demographic with Gucci Guilty Pour Homme, which launches this March abroad and April in the US. Expect a similar 3-D commercial (to go along with Gucci’s 3D sunglasses?) and slick print campaigns.

The scent itself shares DNA with the women’s Guilty, and has notes of lavender, citrus, green leaves, pink pepper, cedar, sandalwood, and amber. Prices will range from $27-$73.

Cartier de Lune Is Blue: Cartier‘s new fragrance will launch at Saks counters in late January. It’s a white floral musk priced from $75-$98. The most shocking thing? The bottle is blue–gasp! Cartier shied away from its signature red because they believe it made more sense for this fragrance, which is inspired by “the radiance of the moon.”

J-Woww Forced to Shutter Filthy Couture Line

J-Woww Forced to Shutter Filthy Couture Line

J-Woww launched her Filthy Couture line of lacy, barely crotch-covering mini dresses and rhinestone encrusted midriff-bearing tops just four months ago, but the line has already shuttered.

Threatening law suits are to blame, according to Radar.com.

Apparently J-Woww’s line was infringing on a similarly named line’s copyright.

“Due to trademark issues the company was shut down,” a source tells Radar.

What’s more, even if you managed to place an order for a lingerie-inspired bikini in the past few months, you’re out of luck. According to the same source, “Money needed to be returned to the people who had ordered clothing.”

Sadly, it seems this is the end of J-Woww’s fashion pursuits.

It Was Only a Matter of Time: Snooki Says She Wants to Be a Designer

It finally happened. First JWoww, then Sammi, and now Snooki has finally professed her ambitions to be a designer.

“I wanna be a clothing designer, hair designer,” Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi told OK!. She also said she wanted to have “you know, four guido/guidette babies” but that is beside the point.

Bring on the rhinestone encrusted sunglasses, the matted bunny slippers and Snooki-branded bumpits! Though lately, Snooki’s style seems to getting a bit tamer (her hemlines haven’t dropped, thank goodness). She’s toned down the poof in favor of bangs and a sleeker less-sprayed mane. And at her latest appearance at the FantaSea Yacht Club in Marina del Rey for the launch of some beauty product called “Beautiful Eyes” (it was classy event, Aubrey O’Day was there), she looked the part in an enormous polo match-style hat that she nearly disappeared under.

Sammi Sweetheart Wants to Get Into Fashion, Design Hair Extensions

Jenni “JWoww” Farley has always been the stand-out fashionista of the Jersey Shore girls, what with her barely there crop tops draped over her gravity-defying boobs and her new demure clothing line, Filthy Couture.

But now Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola is saying she wants to get involved.

“I’d love to get into fashion and designing hair extensions and hair products,” Gioncola told Gurl.com.
