It’s Sunday in September. I’ve just opened a beer and sat down with a giant pile of buffalo wings, which can only mean one thing…It must be Fashion Week. Yup, Fashionista convinced a sports writer in deep Olympics withdraw to take Fashion Week to the next level in celebration of competition, achievement and obviously–judgment. We’ve developed a sophisticated scoring system and will be handing down scores to some of the top shows at NYFW based on atmosphere, difficulty and execution. Fashion is no business for second place…and there can only be one winner.
Diane von Furstenberg goes gaga for Google goggles.
From Anna Wintour and Michael Kors chilling at Macy’s to Sarah Jessica Parker vogueing it at Fred Leighten, there was no shortage of mega-watt stars on hand at Fashion’s Night Out. And some of them even got up to some pretty hilarious shenanigans: Nicole Miller entertained guests with bootylicious Ailey II dancers, Coco Rocha straddled Read more →
Earlier this month, Glee creator Ryan Murphy revealed that Sarah Jessica Parker would guest star on season four of the series playing the editor of Vogue.com–and that Anna Wintour would take care of the costumes. (Remember that Wintour’s daughter Bee Shaffer works for Murphy’s production company, so… family connections.) And earlier today, Murphy tweeted the Read more →
We must admit, we haven’t tuned into Glee in a while. Lea Michele’s character just started to wear on us (it’s not you Jane Lynch!). But we might DVR the start of season four to see Sarah Jessica Parker in her role as the manager of Vogue.com. Especially since she’ll be outfitted by Anna Wintour herself.

File this under sounds-way-too-good-to-be-true-but-oh-man-we-really-hope-it-is: We’ve seen a few internet reports saying that Victoria Beckham and Sarah Jessica Parker are apparently in “secret talks” to collaborate on a line. Well, maybe not so secret–obviously someone’s let the cat prints out of the bag. Reportedly, the two fashion icons are teaming up on a collection aimed at women ages “20-50″–though there’s no word yet on why, when, or how. Here are a few of our guesses:
Last night, Sarah Jessica Parker and Anna Wintour hosted a very fancy fundraiser for Obama at Parker’s West Village home. We didn’t have $40,000 to spare for a ticket. Here’s what we’ve learned about what went down last night:
The cost: $40,000 a head (with 50 guests in attendance, $2 million was raised)
Who was there: Sarah Jessica Parker (her husband Matthew Broderick wasn’t there as he’s starring on Broadway right now and the show must go on but son James Wilkie was), Anna Wintour, Michael Kors, Andy Cohen, Aretha Franklin, Meryl Streep and her husband Don Gummer, Olivia Wilde, Solange Knowles, Georgina Chapman, Chanel Iman, Teen Vogue‘s Lisa Love
You know that old X-rated saying, “the bigger the shoes, the bigger the…” I think you know the rest. Anyway, there’s a new study out that proves you can actually tell a whole lot about a person from his or her shoes–personality-wise, that is.
Research conducted by The University of Kansas found that, when presented with photographs of complete strangers’ footwear, people could accurately determine up to 90% of the wearer’s self-described personality traits and economical demographics.
Obviously when the President is coming over to your place for dinner, you’re going to clean up a bit. Or, if you’re Sarah Jessica Parker, you’re going to hire a whole team of people to meticulously clean it for you. SJP has been vigorously preparing for that $80,000-per-head fundraiser for Obama she is hosting by Read more →
