Nobody talks about how [men in politics] wear their hair or whether or not their outfits are attractive.”

A Conversation About Sarah Palin’s Supergirl Outfit and Why It Might Mean She’s Running for President in 2016

Last Friday former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin stopped by a rally in Cass County, MO to endorse Missouri Senate candidate Sarah Steelman. This is what she wore. The Superman shirt is not completely random–Huffpo reports it’s Steelman’s Superman-themed campaign tee. Nonetheless it’s tight fitting and bright blue and doesn’t obviously look like campaign Read more →

What Do You Think of Sarah Palin and Her Polka Dot Pedicure?

Did you ever think you’d hear “Sarah Palin” and “nail art” in the same sentence? Us neither. But it’s happened. Getty photog Chip Somodevilla (nice catch sir!) caught the pol with her feet looking a little worse for wear and her toes covered in black polish and white polka dots at the Iowa state fair on August 12. He also noticed that she’s wearing a shirt designed by Alina Vilasante which reads, “Love is not something you look for . . . . Love is something you become!”

We, along with the rest of the fashion-lovin’ internet, swoon over nail art. We’re always hunting down the latest trends in nail art, the latest effects (magentic, crackle finish, etc.,), the newest hues, and which celebs are “edgy” and clued in enough to be on top of the latest polish craze. We never expected Sarah Palin to be among those famous people making a statement on her nails. And now we feel conflicted about our love for nail art. Does this mean it’s jumped the shark? How do Sarah Palin’s polka dot toes make you feel?

Zac Says, “VOTE!”

The fashion industry’s been kind of obsessed with this election. Everyone gasped when Michelle wore Thakoon, then again when she wore J.Crew. Everyone panicked when Palin spent $150,000 at Saks and Neiman’s and everyone cringed when she wore knee-high boots. Sonia Rykiel and Jean de Castelbjac sent Obama dresses down their Spring runway, Nicole Farhi Read more →

Spotted: A Fake

To: Tips@Fashionista.com From: Huffing@postearrings.com Spotted (everywhere): Sarah Palin’s daughter carrying a fake Speedy. I can only assume the girl was just hanging onto her mother’s purse for her, but either way, this means Sarah Palin doesn’t care about American designers (think that bag was made in Alaska?) or counterfeit goods (what would Bush’s new copyright Read more →
