All the Fashion From the 2013 Tony Awards

The 2013 Tony Awards, theater‘s biggest night of the year, were held last night in New York. There was singing, there was dancing, there were lions and Newsies and Jake Gyllenhaal (♥♥♥), and Neil Patrick Harris made out with Sandy, the dog from Annie. Oh, and there was THIS: Best Actress in a Play winner Cicely Tyson’s dress. At least, we think it’s a dress.

Click through to see more (generally less offensive) Tonys fashion from stars like Scarlett Johansson, Sienna Miller, Anna Kendrick and more.

Dolce & Gabbana To Present First-Ever Couture Collection in Sicily

Dolce & Gabbana may have killed its lower-priced D&G line this past spring, but now the designers are setting their sights on a more rarefied niche: couture. The duo is going to present their first-ever couture collection next month, WWD is reporting.

But don’t expect to see them in Paris for the “official” couture shows. The designers will show on July 9 in Sicily, and it will be a clients-only presentation.

The Top 10 Prada Red Carpet Looks from 1995 to Today

With the Met exhibit just around the corner, we’re expecting to see a lot of celebrities in Prada. While it might be difficult to imagine some of those runway frocks on the red carpet (we don’t see dresses over pants as a go-to for celebrities), it doesn’t mean that the brand is without its fair share of red carpet moments through the years. Quite the opposite.

Prada is the seminal red carpet brand, in a way. The watershed moment in celebrity red carpet styling came in 1995 when Uma Thurman, styled by Barbara Tfank, wore a simple yet elegant lavendar gown to the Oscars (a.k.a. the dress that launched a thousand celebrity stylists’ careers). It was with this appearance that Prada became a household name overnight. The svelte actress was in a traceable gown from a brand to which people could aspire, instead of one provided by a film costumer or, heaven forbid, self-designed (we’re looking at you Demi Moore and Kim Basinger). It hit the high notes of 90s minimalism and became one of those capital “M” fashion Moments.

Click through to see the nine other most notable appearances by Prada on the red carpet.
