Scarlett Johansson Covers Vogue‘s May Issue, Opens Up About Those Leaked Nude Photos

Oh, hi Scarlett Johansson! The curvy stunner and star of the upcoming Avengers movie is gracing Vogue‘s May cover looking romantic and quintessentially “Old Hollywood.” The cover and spread inside were shot by Mario Testino, who’s definitely feeling very 30s art deco, which is a look we’ve seen a bit this season (see: Vanity Fair‘s Read more →

Anna Wintour’s ‘Runway to Win’ Obama Fundraising Efforts Catches Flack from Republicans, Snarky Reporters

Anna Wintour’s ‘Runway to Win’ Obama Fundraising Efforts Catches Flack from Republicans, Snarky Reporters

Last night Anna Wintour and Scarlett Johansson hosted “Runway to Win,” the fundraising event in support of Obama’s re-election campaign. Some fairly big-name fashion people attended, including model trio-of-the-moment Karlie Kloss, Chanel Iman, and Joan Smalls. Designers like Diane von Furstenberg, Tory Burch and Alexander Wang also all took time out from what is probably their busiest time of the year to come out to support Obama. You’ll recall that a slew of them designed items like totes and tees for Obama’s campaign.

But not everyone is responding well to fashion’s (or more specifically, Anna Wintour’s) call to arms for Obama.

Fashion News Roundup: Mark Ronson Weds Josephine de la Baume in Style, Scarlett Johansson Channels Bardot, and Anne Hathaway Stuns in New Tod’s Campaign

Kim Who?: Mark Ronson wed Josephine de la Baume this weekend and, unsurprisingly, the duo–clad in a red pinstripe suit and cleavage-baring white gown (respectively)–look unbelievably fashionable. {PopSugar}

Paying Tribute or Shilling Champagne? Scarlett Johansson channels Brigitte Bardot in a Lulu Gainsbourg video for dad Serge Gainsbourg’s song “Bonnie & Clyde,” which features a gorgeous Johansson writhing around in what looks like a bed sheet and drinking champagne–and even features the young starlet’s vocals instead of Bardot’s. While the video is ostensibly a tribute to Gainsbourg, we think it looks a whole lot like an ad for Moet Chandon champagne, for which Johansson is also a spokesperson. {Huffington Post}

Something Is Really Off About Stella Tennant in Vogue Italia: See all the images from Vogue Italia‘s Ethel Granger-inspired shoot. Frightening. {Fashion Gone Rogue}

Scarlett Johansson, Olivia Palermo and Other Celebs Designed Shoes For Stuart Weitzman–Would You Wear Any of Their Designs?

Scarlett Johansson, Olivia Palermo and Other Celebs Designed Shoes For Stuart Weitzman–Would You Wear Any of Their Designs?

Red carpet regulars Olivia Palermo, Scarlett Johansson, Hayden Panettiere and Michelle Trachtenberg have all teamed up with Stuart Weitzman to try their hand at shoe design.

According to the release, proceeds from what Weitzman has dubbed the “Young Hollywood Cares Collection,” will benefit Marsha Moses’ research in ovarian cancer at the Folkman Institute in Boston. They range in price from $425 to $498 and will be available online and in Stuart Weitzman boutiques come September. Panettiere and Trachtenberg (who co-starred in Ice Princess!) will be at Stuart Weitzman’s Madison Avenue flagship on Fashion’s Night Out to celebrate the collection’s unveiling.

So could a footwear design career be in any of these girls’ futures? Well, Olivia Palermo, the only one who isn’t a Hollywood actress, designed the only shoe without a platform and the only one we really like (Trachtenberg’s is made out of denim, crystals and snakeskin). Which is your favorite? Click through to see all four.

Seeing Red: Auburn Hair is the Bee’s Knees in Hollywood and Beyond

As a natural redhead, my life has been marked by both fierce ridicule and serious hairdresser envy. “Ginger” might as well have been my second name for the better part of primary school, and I spent most of my tween years begging my mother to let me get blond highlights, never understanding why she kept refusing and ruining my life. Now, I silently thank her every day for the adamant refusal and count myself lucky for having a color that is nearly impossible to replicate from a bottle. There’s something to be said for being a member of the 2% of the world’s population who are natural reds.

Yet lately, I’ve been amused to notice that more and more celebrities have adopted the look. I learned to love my locks, yet no one else really seemed to and, in general, successful redheads are few and far between. There just aren’t that many of us, dyed or not, and as a result I developed a minor fascination with almost anyone with red hair. So this sudden development from negative nickname to rising trend has left me slightly confused. Why the sudden change of heart, ladies? I certainly can’t tell you–I was born this way (sorry).

Hollywood’s Most Powerful Stylists: The Complete List

Hollywood’s Most Powerful Stylists: The Complete List

We’ve become huge fans of the Hollywood Reporter over the last few months, mostly due to Janice Min’s excellent makeover of the trade publication. Staffer Merle Ginsberg navigates the LA fashion scene with an entertaining mix of gossip, insider news, and general knowledge that is not only rare for the West Coast, but rare for fashion writing in general.

So we were thrilled to see Ginsberg’s list of the 25 most powerful stylists in Hollywood covering this week’s issue. Rachel Zoe obviously ranks number one, with names like Nicole Chavez, Annabel Tollman, Brad Goreski, Leslie Fremar, and Kate Young rounding it out. See the full list below, and read the Zoe cover story here.
