The Golden Globes kick off the Awards Season this Sunday and while most of you try to predict the winners, we’ve decided to try and predict what the evening’s most fashionable nominees might wear.
A myriad of red carpet-worthy dresses walked the runway last season (and before that, couture), so we had a lot to wade through. Not that it wasn’t fun–who wouldn’t want to pretend-dress ladies like Anne Hathaway, Michelle Dockery and Sienna Miller?

Fashion News Roundup: Mantyhose Are a Thing, Jourdan Dunn Says Kanye West’s Shoes Got ‘Fixed’, and the New Fall Chanel Nail Color Is Revealed
Mantyhose Exist: Men in tights exist outside the Sherwood Forest! In fact, hosiery retailer Emilio Cavallini told WWD that purchases by men (for themselves) now account for 2-3% of annual sales – and he’s now making unisex tights. While most men wear their mantyhose as a thin, long-underwear layer, some Euro style-setters have been seen wearing them under shorts as, well, tights. Hey, if J.Lo can wear a jock cup… {NY Mag}
Jourdan Dunn Says Kanye West’s Shoes Were “Fixed”: Despite all the worry surrounding Kanye West’s impossible-sounding shoes this season, it seems to have all worked out. Model Jourdan Dunn told Fashion Bomb Daily at the show’s after party that the towering stilettos “were actually ok! They fixed them!” No details on what was exactly “fixed” about the shoes… but for the models’ (and every potential future retailer’s) sake, we’re glad to hear it! {Fashion Bomb Daily}
Sienna Miller Talks Pregnancy to Vogue UK: Practically perfect pregnant person Sienna Miller looks extremely happy on the cover of Vogue UK‘s April issue (fully clothed, mind you!) and talks about her “bump” for the first time. The generally private style-maven says she’s “under strict instruction” not to say too much about the whole thing though, but I think we can all assume that there will be a (well-dressed) baby in the end. {Vogue UK}

Twenty8Twelve Fall 2012: Keeping Calm and Carrying On, Miller-less
LONDON–Twenty8Twelve’s head designer, Elsa Elphick, is probably absolutely sick of people asking her about Savannah and Sienna Miller leaving the brand. They held a presentation over the weekend to showcase the new collection and a fashion film called “Faceless Featured Future.” Faceless future, indeed–at least a famous faceless future. So let’s get that part out of the way first.
I asked Elphick what has changed since the Miller sisters left, and she told me, “For us it hasn’t massively changed.” Hmm. So how much involvement did they actually have? Elphick assured me that she worked very closely with Savannah, but that now she would be making design decisions rather than have them made for her. When I asked if the Millers leaving would hurt the image of the brand, a member of Twenty8Twelve’s team jumped in.

Why Cathy Horyn Should Be a Stylist: Horyn says that the whole red carpet process mystifies her and states she would tell an actress to wear “something chic but completely under the radar,” like Yohji Yamamoto. Sienna and Savannah Miller Are Leaving Twenty8Twelve; Will the Brand Survive Without Them?
Twenty8Twelve, which launched six years ago, was one of the early celebrity clothing line success stories. Actress Sienna Miller launched the line with her professional clothing designer sister Savannah and the two have put out several solid collections of cute, wearable clothes. We were fans, which is why we were bummed and surprised to hear this morning that the Miller sisters are parting with the line.
The news is surprising considering the brand is still doing well. According to WWD, the Millers will “pursue other ventures” (a new BeachMint brand perhaps?) while the brand will continue on under the current design team as Twenty8Twelve London. Huh?

Lady Gaga Shows Her Boobs For L’Uomo Vogue: Lady Gaga channels her half-robot self (or is it from the same shoot?) from the “You and I” video in her cover story for the latest issue of L’Uomo Vogue. Australian Designers Will Show Fall Collections in NYC: Australian fashion designers Christopher Esber, Fernando Frisoni, Kym Ellery, Magdalena Velevska, and Michael Lo Sordo will bring their fall collections to NYC later this month for the new Australian Five initiative, as part of G’Day USA (cute), which showcases Australian business in the US.
