Jessica Michault, Suzy Menkes‘ partner-in-crime and online editor at the International Herald Tribune, is leaving her post at the storied publication for greener–or at least speedier–pastures: The editor and blogger has just been named editor-in-chief of NOWFASHION.

Most of us know NOWFASHION as the place to go for in-real-time runway and red carpet photos–but the site, helmed by photographer Valerio Mezzanotti, is hoping to change that.

In Which Suzy Menkes Slams Online Rumor-Mongering, Then Mentions Rumor that Christopher Kane Is Being Considered for the Dior Job

The International Herald Tribune‘s Suzy Menkes wrote a lengthy, thoughtful piece this weekend about the current case of designer musical chairs at major fashion houses, which posits that designers are being treated as commodities “bought and dispensed with as the corporate house pleases” rather than the “artistic and fragile people” they truly are.

She accurately paints a picture of the current situation with Dior, YSL and Jil Sander, which has designers leaving, being fired from and returning to these houses–and the fashion industry watching and gossiping as it all goes down. Menkes’ point is summarized in the article’s headline: “We Are All Guilty for This Mess.”

New York Fashion Week Crib Sheet: The 10 Most Well-Reviewed Shows According to Everyone Who Matters

After 300-plus shows, it’s no wonder we’re still reeling. But while the calendar may have been jam-packed, there are only a few collections that really make headlines–which is why we’ve compiled the ultimate crib sheet of the season’s most important shows and what all the major critics had to say about them.

We’ve poured through every review (we mean that literally) for qualifying adjectives and other bon mots from The New York Times’ Cathy Horyn, Eric Wilson, and the International Herald Tribune‘s Suzy Menkes; Style.com’s Nicole Phelps and Meenal Mistry; Vogue.com’s Sarah Mower, Hamish Bowles, and Mark Holgate; Samantha Critchell for the Associated Press; Lynn Yaeger for New York, and a host of other friends and bloggers.

The result is a comprehensive guide to the season’s most well-reviewed shows–from Jason Wu to Marc Jacobs. Which designers came out on top? Flash back with us now. You don’t have to take our word for it.

Daphne Guinness To Exhibit Isabella Blow’s Wardrobe at Central St. Martins and Online, Is Starting a Mental Health Foundation

Daphne Guinness has finally revealed, to Charlie Rose of all people, what she plans to do with that wardrobe of Isabella Blow’s she bought following Blow’s death, to prevent it from being auctioned off.

Rose hosted a discussion about the state of fashion with Diane Von Furstenberg, Suzy Menkes and Guinness. For the most part, Guinness appeared shy and didn’t say much–Menkes was the most loquacious–but she did share a couple of interesting tidbits. Adding on to a discussion about how the digital revolution is changing and democratizing fashion, she said,

I’m going to put together now a show of my friend’s clothes who died and I’m going to do that online so that people in New Zealand can see it because they might not be able to get to Central St. Martin’s to be able to see that.
