CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund nominated design house Creatures of the Wind collaborated with J. Crew to design a capsule collection and it’s finally available. Well worth the wait, if you ask us. {FabSugar}
In more J. Crew news, the ever-expanding brand has enlisted famed street style photographers Scott Schuman and Garance Doré to photograph, film and profile tastemakers across the globe for a project titled “Hello World.” {WWD}

Life with The Coveteur: We’re big fans of The Coveteur, so obviously it was a big score to follow their team through the closets of Susie Bubble, Erdem, and J.W. Anderson. Learn how they edit the most major wardrobes.
Fashion Statement or Overexposure?: Certain starlets have taken to showing their goods on the red carpet lately and we are just wondering: is this a new way to express yourself, or is it just good old fashioned attention seeking? Clutching our pearls..
Enough With the Cutoffs! Cute Alternative Looks to Wear to Coachella: Unless you live under a rock, you know that Coachella happened this weekend, and we couldn’t let you go in another pair of cutoffs! We put together 5 chic looks for the music festival, and if you weren’t lucky enough to go (like us) we think they’ll work just as well for your other summer events.
10 Plagues of Fashion: And we aren’t talking about Ugg boots! We had a little fun pairing the ten plagues of Passover with some fashion imagery.
H&M Goes Glam for a Good Cause: H&M launched a line of sustainable red carpet ready dresses, and they look pretty awesome. Some of the looks have already hit the red carpet on celebs like Viola Davis and Michelle Williams, so check out the lookbook if you’ve got a special event coming up.
LONDON–We’ve all come to know and love The Coveteur‘s intimate portraits of the fashion elite’s covetable wardrobes ever since the site opened its proverbial doors over a year ago. Despite being relatively new, the site’s dynamic founding duo Stephanie Mark and Erin Kleinberg have already curated online editorials from over 100 closets including style pioneers like Simon Doonan and Patricia Field, and have done a number of big-name collabs (with Elle, W and Who What Wear to name a few).
I was lucky enough to snag an invitation to tag along with Stephanie and Erin and their photographer Jake Rosenberg when The Coveteur took London by storm. I was dying to find out just how they create their impeccably styled stories and what it’s like to step into the personal closets of fashion heavyweights. As a fellow Canadian, I was delighted to discover that these super-stylish girls are the definition of a Canadian best friend (in fact they met when they were besties at summer camp): friendly, warm and approachable. I could immediately see why they’ve been granted access into these trendsetters’ most intimate spaces.
The Coveteur recently profiled the closet and home of Kiernan Shipka, better known as Mad Men‘s Sally Draper. The precocious tween dresses a lot like her TV counterpart–favoring early ’60s Peter Pan-collared girly silhouettes from a Portuguese brand called Papo d’ Anjo. But when she’s not wearing Papo d’Anjo (which is hardly ever, it seems), she makes her own dresses (see above, left).
“This dress is actually an original design of mine,” Shipka told the Coveteur. “I love the color and the fabric, which is a raw silk taffeta. I spent days going through all the fabric shops in downtown LA to find this fabric… I made many changes to the dress along the way. It took about a year to finish. It turned out great!” We agree. Shipka has already got her own signature style down pat–do we smell another actress-turned-designer?
Tumblr can be a little daunting for those don’t “tumbl,” especially when it comes to navigating the myriad of fashion-related ones.
There are a lot of decent tumblrs out there devoted to fashion, but after awhile they all start to blend together in a sea of pretty pictures. Luckily, there are quite a few industry insiders whose access to the industry lends itself to smartly styled pages, valuable tips and insights, and, of course, very pretty pictures. Here our are favorite tumblrs run by folks within the fashion industry–they range from models to editors to PRs to photographers but they’re all, clearly, ahead of the game when it comes to social media.

Alexander Wang’s Budding Empire: Wang discusses his rise to fashion fame and hopes his brand will have a life longer than his. {Telegraph}
Lindsay Lohan for Ungaro Now On eBay: For $450 or your “best offer,” you can own a dress from Lohan’s disastrous collection for Ungaro. {Imaginary Socialite}
Why Kenneth Cole Hearts Twitter: The designer uses Twitter as a form of year-round advertising. Though he admits that now, in light of his Egypt comment that outraged many last month, his tweets go through a filter. {Glamour}
After last week’s battle between The-Coveted.com and TheCoveted.com–the new website that takes a peek inside the homes of fashion favorites–the latter has decided to changed its name to The Coveteur. Here’s the email received from co-founder Stephanie Mark this morning:
After the recent on-line buzz regarding our use of thecoveted.com, we write to advise you that as of tomorrow our business will be rebranded as The Coveteur and henceforth we will be using that name and our new website www.thecoveteur.com. Using the name “The Coveteur”, we will transition to a brand identity that we feel better encapsulates our concept. In regards to the legal issues surrounding our dispute with the-coveted.com, we refer you to our statement on www.thecoveted.com and are happy to be able to put these issues behind us. So, as of February 2, 2011, we will be known as “The Coveteur” and we look forward to bringing you new and exciting content weekly. Thank you for all of your support.
Sincerely,
Erin and Stephanie
