Sophie Theallet To Design a Line For The Limited

When we think about mass retailers likely to do collaborations with high-end designers, we think J. Crew, Macy’s, Target, Topshop, maybe even Gap. The Limited and White House|Black Market to Roll Out Some Serious Spring Campaigns: The two retailers aren’t playing games this season in the ad department. The Limited has tapped Karolina Kurkova to front their spring ad campaign, and it’s costing them a pretty penny; “in the $10 million range,” dished an insider. Meanwhile, White House|Black Market is also making moves, hiring Coco Rocha to star in a TV spot, which will air on Monday. You know what they say, gotta spend money to make money! {WWD subscription required}

June Ambrose is Working on A Clothing Line: Far be it from the famed stylist to leave the masses without clothes to go with their June Ambrose brand turbans and sunglasses. The stylist to the stars told the YBF that she is releasing a contemporary women’s clothing line, which she hopes will be out this fall. {The YBF}

Hanneli Mustaparta is Tweeting for Calvin Klein Today: The model-turned-blogger will be giving Calvin Klein’s Twitter followers an inside look at what’s popping backstage, and the show’s star-studded front row. (What, no coverage on the pending OWS protest?) Mustaparta is also going to be the woman behind the brand’s soon-to-launch Tumblr. {WWD subscription required}

Another 80s Revival

Last week it was Benetton, now it’s Outback Red and Forenza coming back into play after pretty much being left for dead back in the 80s. Back to the Limited?

Bendon, the New Zealand-based lingerie company, is coming to America. Except, they’re coming via The Limited, which we’re all familiar with via trips to Limited Too in fifth grade.
