Mark Fast for Topshop will finally hit stores June 25! Fast used his SS09 ready-to-wear collection as inspiration for the five-piece line, which ranges from ₤85 for a skirt to ₤150 for a dress, (that translates to about $100 and $185, respectively).

We’re pining for the lilac crochet dress covered in tiny holes, but the real star is quite obviously the black long-sleeved dress with matte, rubberized beading. There’s also a pale pink skirt–perhaps for the less daring–and a black sleeveless dress that almost shimmers.

Last weekend, I took a short trip to the UK for a dear friend’s wedding. While I was only there for a few days, I made sure to stop by COS in London, simply because it’s the best high street store in existence. (That is, if you’re over 25 and now look absurd in too-trendy Topshop wares.)

I scored with a sheer, greenish-blue button-up, which I wore yesterday to the YSL show with high-waisted black pants and a pair of Heavy Machine heels. Oh, and a black bra, which shone quite clearly through the translucent top.

When I met up with my fiance for food, he kind of chuckled when he noticed that my bra could be pretty easily discerned by other diners in the restaurant. While he was more bemused than anything, he did think it was hilarious that I was cool with showing it off.

Clearly, sheer is huge this summer.

Which it-Brit told a Topshop shopgirl, “I’ve forgotten my VIP discount card?” To which the shopgirl answered, “Alright then I guess we’ll have to look you up.” Until the starlet shot back, “Are you joking? Are Wal-Mart and Topshop in cahoots? A source inside Topshop tells us that when Sir Philip Green was visiting the retailer’s New York flagship in late December 2009, he brought along a member of the Walton family. Collectively, the Waltons still own 39% of Wal-Mart, which is a publicly-traded company. The unnamed Walton was given [...]

Thanks to the reader who brought this to our attention! This Topshop dress is by no means a carbon copy of Alexander McQueen’s, but it is very clear that the people at Topshop were moved—just as much as the rest of the fashion world was—by the late designer’s “Plato’s Atlantis” collection. So they made a [...]

Nothing makes me want a 5″ wedge like sunshine and iced coffee, so I spent the morning browsing the sandal section from Barneys to Bonadrag. It’s not quite warm enough for shorts, but open toed shoes are the perfect compromise. Two months ago, no one was more anti-clog than I, but now I’m dreaming of [...]
