Funny fact: T-Rex’s “Ride A White Swan” was the theme song at yesterday’s Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic on Governors Island. Maybe that’ll give you a sense of the day’s vibe.
So, how was it? Well, of course the match was interesting, but the clothes–and the people–were the real reasons to be there. We took plenty of pictures to give you a sense of what went on–and maybe more importantly–what was worn.
This Sunday, the Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic returns to Governor’s Island, and marks the return of Prince Harry to NYC. The match benefits (in our opinion) the hotter Prince’s charity, the American Friends of Sentebale, which provides aid for orphans and at-risk youth in Lesotho. He’ll play against polo-playing Polo model Nacho Figueras. Yum.
So we got inspired by the idea of dressing for a fancy polo match. (If only we could look as good as Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman…) Here are our top ten polo-perfect picks.
