Style.com has a fun (but weird) feature today on fashion look-a-likes:

Apparently, Zac Posen and Stella McCartney (and Colin Firth in Bridget Jones) share a love of big sweaters with reindeer.

We think the whole thing was influenced, subconsciously, by John Galliano's runway from Fall '06.

In the show, models dressed like Dior's head designer, John Galliano (who dresses like a pirate), paraded down the catwalk.

This season, the look was picked up by Tyra Banks on America's Next Top Model

We know Style.com will never mention this, but that's why we're here...

When we last left America’s Next Top Model, the girls were packed off to Sydney, Australia because, according to Tyra, it was “up and coming� in the fashion world.

Unfortunately, the potential Top Models were fading fast:

Jael dressed like a male figure skater; Brittany decided that because she was hit by a car ten years ago, she can’t film a Cover Girl commercial; the evil Renée was so jet lagged, she couldn’t think of a single nasty thing to say.

Dumbfounded, we turned to Brooke Miller – the wide-eyed ingénue of Top Model’s last season, pictured at right – to explain the show’s mysteries.

For instance: Why is Tyra dressed like a pirate?

This week’s Top Model brought out the tough questions: Will Tyra acknowledge Gemma Ward? Is the entire contest rigged? And – most important – why is Jay Manuel considered a “style guru�?

Bemused, confused, and dizzied by The Evil Renée’s resemblance to Jessica Stam, we phoned our Top Model expert, former contestant Brooke Miller.

Her reaction?

“They botched the photo shoot –again.�

Alas, like Jael’s junkie monologues, that’s become a running theme.

Apologies for two Top Model posts so close together, but perhaps this shouldn't wait (and perhaps, like me, you are watching a Top Model marathon on VH1 right now instead of going to the gym):

Wikipedia has a thorough catalogue of Top Model trivia and contestants that goes all the way through this season.

Their chart includes the winners and runner ups of each show, and for Cycle 8, we learn that - allegedly - the big modeling trip is to Australia.

The site also pins Dionne as the winner and Jael as the runner up... which is enough of a shocker for us to think that Wikipedia is lies, all lies...

Update: Wikipedia wimps out, changes the entry so the winner and runner up are now unlisted. To be continued...

We admit that we watched Top Model this week with wine, and wow did we need it:

The latest episode featured, in order of appearance, 50 Cent pushing the spacey Jael into a pool, Nicole Richie asking the snarling Renee if she was mean, and a photo shoot so sadly low-budget, it put Glamour Shots to shame.

The amazing Brooke Miller, former Top Model contestant and new college co-ed, is back from Spring Break to review this week’s episode. Her initial thoughts on the show? “It was a little ridiculous.�
