Beauty tutorials are big on YouTube — a search for "makeup tutorial" and "hair tutorial" yields more than five million videos. In this weekly series, we put a mix of popular and under-the-radar tutorials to the test and show you what's best.
We're approaching a holiday weekend — yay! Hopefully you'll be able to relax at the beach or a cookout and return to work next week refreshed and ready to take on the rest of summer 2K17. But if your plans are perhaps less chill — maybe you're returning to your good ol' college party days? Or maybe, like me, you're in the midst of an end-of-the-month move? — you might want to equip yourself with all of the steps you need to know to conceal the pesky signs of fatigue, a.k.a. undereye circles.
This undereye circle and crease-concealing tutorial from Jackie Aina is an oldie (from about two years ago), but it's a good one. In it, she breaks down the step-by-step process she uses for masking her own undereye circles, as well as the creases that can form and accentuate them. Finding the right shades to color-correct those shadows that can appear under the eyes is tricky business, especially for those with dark complexions, since many products can look chalky on deeper skin tones. Aina suggests looking for a salmon- or peach-toned color corrector to avoid any wonky shade issues.
You can watch her full (surprisingly easy!) process in the video below:
