I think about this A Lot: "Why Don't My Pants Go All the Way Down to the Floor Anymore?" Over the summer and through the fall, I've thoroughly enjoyed my multiple vintage-inspired cutoff jeans with a slight hint of ankle. The pairing is very aesthetically pleasing, especially when you team it with a chunky sneaker or block heel. But as winter kicks in and my ankles need to be shielded from the cold, I find myself stressing out about my exposed pair of socks or how uncomfortable my over-the-ankle boots are. (The latter instantly polishes my outfit, but I pay the price with sore feet for the next day or two.)
In the midst of research for gift guides, I came across this pair of big baggy jeans from Levi's, which could be the solution to my wardrobe woes. They're slouchy, comfy and protect my ankles from the chilly elements. I already know I'd have no trouble of finding what to wear with these jeans: tucked-in T-shirts and oversize sweaters should do the trick, along with Chelsea boots and sneakers. Yes, they scream '90s nostalgia — that's the appeal — but I'm just over five-feet tall, so I wonder if I can even pull them off? The only way I'll find out is to give them a try. Fingers crossed.
