Just in case you're making a weekend blog stop for fashion info and not funny comments, here's something new: Variety announced that Audrey Tatou will play Coco Chanel in the latest film about the designer. Some of you called it from the very beginning, but we still wonder if Audrey is reckless and ruthless enough onscreen to pull it off. Remember, Coco Chanel wasn't exactly Cinderella - although she pulled herself up from an orphanage and built a fashion empire, she did have to pair up with a Nazi and lose quite a few friends in the process. Will Audrey be too sympathetic in the role? And how much input did the House of Chanel have in her casting? Remember, since they've trademarked the name Coco Chanel, they have to be consulted - and at least tangentially involved - in any commercial project that involves the designer.
