Our favorite new blogger, Rachel Clark, reports on the frenzy backstage at Alberta Ferretti's recent cruise show: Apparently, all the girls got stuck in the elevator going down to the runway. Though Chanel Iman looks a little panicked, it didn't seem to last too long. Still, the incident reminds us of the Calvin Klein show at Milk Studios several seasons ago, when one of the Olsen girls got caught in the lift and almost missed the show... And how one of the girls at Balenciaga last year got stuck inside her gold-plated leggings, and was so late to her next runway that they almost had to slice them off of her... How perilous, this industry! Rachel then reveals she booked the Dolce and Gabbana campaign, which is great - hopefully, nothing gets stuck there.

Alberta Ferretti is the Next Designer Tapped for Macy's Impulse Line
Macy's is on a roll. After releasing collaboration lines with Karl Lagerfeld, Matthew Williamson, Giambattista Valli, and most recently Doo.Ri, the mega-retailer has just announced Alberta Ferretti as the next designer collaboration for their contemporary Impulse line, WWD is reporting.
First Look: Alberta Ferretti for Macy's, the Complete Collection
Just in time for wedding and prom season, Alberta Ferretti has cooked up a roster of perfect dresses--at prices we can afford--for Macy's Impulse line. From a pretty maxi frock with braided straps, to a super-hot one-shouldered evening gown, there's seriously a dress for every occasion under the sun--and more. Ferretti also designed a handful of easy everyday pieces like open knit sweaters in cream and navy, and floral and lace tops. We saw part of the collection last night at the line's launch party and we have to say, the pieces looked even more high-end and pretty IRL. The collection won't hit stores until April 17, but you can see the whole thing right here and now--All the better to scope out your must-have purchases.
