Several years ago, there was buzz that Vera Wang wanted to get in with the kids. She'd witnessed Marc by Marc Jacobs and felt, somehow, that she belonged there too. Maybe it was because of her two daughters, still in high school. Or maybe it was for something more practical: Girls spend money, and she was missing out. So Vera birthed Princess, a fragrance that starred a jeweled purple bottle plus Camilla Belle as its face. Then Vera hit Kohl's, and although her line went onsale three days after its launch date, it was still cute - especially the brocade coat and a few of the dresses, which had price tags easily in line with younger shoppers. But now, maybe, Vera's gone a bit too far. She's put this dress up on ShopBop, and it's very familiar. With a cinched, sashed waist, a one-shoulder swoosh, and a short hem with loose pleats, it looks a lot like the Kate Moss for TopShop dress we faltered across this Spring. This version is almost $500, instead of $75. The model also looks like a wannabe Irina, which makes it even funnier.
