Leave it to Colette to burn the scene at both ends. The "hypercool" french boutique threw a two-in-one bash last night that merged the high fashion pack with the street kids, the same way their store sells Chanel next to Hello Kitty. Bringing the richly heeled was Delfina Fendi, the 19 year old daughter of the old fashion family that just launched a jewelry line. Though this is her first involvement in her family's house, she told us "I feel like the beauty in this line has been with me since I was very small, and it is just now surfacing into life." At least, we think this is what she said, since we tried to speak with her in French. Fendi designer Karl Lagerfeld came to support the bebe, pronouncing her collection "Bella" before immediately racing for the door. Meanwhile, photo bloggers swarmed as The Sartorialist, The Face Hunter, The MisShapes, Dirty Dirty Dancing, and our polaroid mastermind Jeremy Kost held court upstairs. We saw Agyness, we saw Henry, we saw Cory, we saw Steve Aoki, and then we felt like we'd had too much sugar and went to dinner. As we left, we complimented Chanel stylist Amanda Harlech on her Gap ad. "I didn't expect it to be so big," she laughed. "But my daughter phoned me and said she saw it on the side of a bus!" Outside, the Street Peeper asked to take our photo. "For the side of a bus," we grinned. But when a store sells legos and Lanvin and Amanda does Gap and Chanel, it's all the same anyway.
