Two years ago at the CFDA awards, Jeremy Piven announced to the crowd of fashion heavyweights, "I'm one haircut away from The Tom Ford Story." While a biopic centered around the man who seamlessly merged sex and fashion might still be a few decades away, The Sun reports that Ridley Scott will direct a film about the family behind Gucci. Though the brand was started by Guccio Gucci in 1921, the film probably won't begin until Maurizio Gucci, Guccio's grandson, began to take control of the company in the late 70's which means lots of glitz, glamour and glitter. We've seen Scott's Prada commercial, so we know he can work just as well with Daria as he does with Russell Crowe. But we wonder if Ford will audition to play himself now that he's Hollywood-obsessed? And of course we can't wait to learn who will play the models. How would you cast the Gucci movie?
