Every time it looks like it might rain, we put on our rain boots. This sometimes works in our favor, like on days when groups of people wearing normal shoes wait to skip over puddles at street corners, and you, in your rain boots, plop right through. Other times, when the day turns out to be clear, you end up looking like an idiot wearing rubber boots for no reason. We check the weather every day to see if rain boots will be needed, especially in the spring and fall. And as much as we love the feeling of marching down the street while everyone else is left to do a staring-down, careful walk, we know how hideous these rubber boots really look. Every time we leave for work wearing our cheap pair from Ricky's, we hear our boyfriend groan, and comment that they are totally unnecessary. Do you put on rubber boots at the first sign of rain? Or do you avoid wearing them unless there's a hurricane about to hit?
