Terry Richardson's just shot Erin Wasson's new campaign for Tahari. Really. He didn't shoot her for Alexander Wang, not for her jewelry line, not for American Apparel, but for Tahari. And in Washington Heights, no less. They chose Wasson, "because she is known for her own distinctive style and embodies the Elie Tahari woman," says Rory Tahari, the brand's creative director. True, Erin's style has, arguably, made her more famous than her modeling. But aren't Tahari's customers working in offices and grabbing a conservative dress on their way to a summer home? And aren't Wasson's fans dancing on tables in ripped denim and sheer cotton tanks? And doesn't Terry Richardson make everything just a little bit dirty? We're having trouble picturing this. September issues can't come soon enough!
