All boys in England should be celebrating. For the first time ever, the super talented Mr. Giles Deacon has launched his very own collaboration with highstreet store New Look Men (he's done several womenswear collections for them already) and it's available now. The 25-piece collection is made up of tees, jeans, jackets and shirts with his signature craziness of gold chains and neon. He also included covetable accessories like these Giles Geo plimsolls that should be everywhere this Spring. The official statement via New Look’s menswear director: “New Look are delighted to be partners in this venture with Giles, which not only sees the launch of his first menswear collection with us, but also his first menswear collection full stop.” The best par about it? It's fun but cheap, prices start at ¬£6, so all you London boys can run to your nearest New Look, while everyone else can buy online. PS It’s all about the gold Bat T-shirt (left)! --BR(IT) BOY

Giles Deacon Out at Ungaro
It's been about a year and a half since Giles Deacon replaced, um, Lindsay Lohan as creative director at Ungaro. His first collection showed at Paris Fashion Week spring 2011 and today, with the spring 2012 show imminent, Ungaro and Deacon have announced that their collaboration has come to an end. WWD reports that both parties are calling it a mutual decision rather than a firing, and we're not entirely surprised. The fashion house has seen a revolving door of creative directors over the past few years. Giambattista Valli, Peter Dundas, Vincent Darre, Esteban Cortazar and then Lindsay and Estrella Archs all passed through before Deacon, and none of them lasted more than a couple of seasons. The troubled brand also hired a new CEO this year, Jeffry Aronsson, who previously held chief executive positions at Donna Karan International, Marc Jacobs International and Oscar de la Renta and is expected to turn the brand around.
Giles Deacon Is Launching a Line of Nail Polish
More and more designers are getting into the makeup game (hello, Gareth Pugh!) which makes sense since fashion and beauty go hand in well-manicured hand. Like designers before him--Jason Wu’s collab with CND and Prabal Gurung’s with Sally Hansen come to mind--Giles Deacon is launching a nail polish line. Grazia is hanging out with the designer this week and he let slip to them that he’s making a foray into the popular world of nail lacquer. He’s done a clothing and accessories collection, called “Gold” with UK high street retailer New Look for several seasons now. The nail polish will be a part of this collection, so we’re not sure if we’ll be able to get our hands on it here in the US.
