For those of you wondering when Proenza's line of bags will be available to more people than their socialite friends, here's your answer: The line - dubbed PS 1 after the New York City public school system and not the boys' initials, as previously thought - debuts at Harvey Nichols next month, and on Net-a-Porter (for the rest of us) in March. Start saving now. Otherwise, you could always try DIY-ing the bag at left by covering a stiff clutch with a vintage safari jacket, no? Update: Ah, yes, they're on barneys.com.
Proenza Schouler Is Launching Costume Jewelry
Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez can do no wrong in the eyes of the fashion world, and their accessories have become as coveted as their runway designs. The PS1 started off their accessory world domination, and their recent launch of small leather goods will undoubtedly be just as successful. WWD caught up with the Proenza Schouler designers in the south of France while they were there judging the Hyères International Festival of Fashion and Photography. They’re currently working on a line of costume jewelry which is still in the prototype stage.
