That's right, Fashion Week's been over for not even a month, and news of this February's festivities are already trickling in: Rendez-Vous, the Paris-based trade show, is coming to New York Fashion Week for the very first time, showcasing 75 collections from all over the world to tired buyers and editors. You might be thinking to yourself that you've never heard of Rendez-Vous, but if you've heard of Surface 2 Air, Richard Nicoll (who you might remember just got picked up by Net-a-Porter) or Alexandre Herchcovitch, to name a few, then you probably have Rendez-Vous to thank. They're setting up shop at the Altman Building from February 20th to 22nd (yes, Fashion Week somehow ended up close to March this time.) We suggest fitting it in if you're more into what's next instead of what you already know.

Kira Plastinina is Showing at New York Fashion Week
Kira Plastinina--the Russian teen designer, best known for epic failure in the US market--is showing at New York Fashion Week on February 17. The brand filed for Chapter 11 in January of 2009 with $54 million in debts owed to more than 100 creditors. Somehow, they were able to relaunch last November, under the moniker Lublu. She's even got a store in Los Angeles. (A little background--Kira's dad is a Russian dairy tycoon worth over $600 million. He is clearly her major backer.) Click through to browse some looks from Kira's spring collection. Why we're so fascinated with her, we're not quite sure, but we do know that we'll be at the presentation.
