The CFDA's partnered with W Hotels to create a limited edition calendar for 2009. They're aiming to inspire you with their twelve designer months. Marcus Wainwright of Rag & Bone, Sue Stemp and of course CFDA President Diane Von Furstenberg each snagged their own months. While the calendar itself resembles a sketchbook, complete with a pencil and blank pages in back, the designers picked images that move them to put on their pages instead of their own sketches. All of proceeds from the $15 calendar go toward the CFDA and helping fledgling American designers, who could really use any help right now, and Fashion Targets Breast Cancer. You can buy it at any W Hotel or on their site. So you have a gift, an inside look into designers' creative process, the perfect calendar on which to schedule fashion week madness. And, it's all for a good cause.
Exclusive Interview With Trova, the CFDA Statue
It's nearly June, which means the fashion world is gearing up for its own glamorous celebration of exceptional achievements, the CFDA Awards, which will take place on June 6. To generate some buzz about the ceremony, the council created a funny little Twitter account for Trova, the CFDA statue. We scored an exclusive interview with the sparklingly hilarious lady, who dished about 2011 host Anderson Cooper, ex-boyfs, and how to get that flawless golden sheen.
