The short fashion film (or fancy commercial) is finally migrating from France to the States and Donna Karan's up first. Christina Ricci will star in a short film centered around Donna's Eldrigde bag, which in typical Donna Karan style, can be worn multiple ways. Ricci runs around the Soho Grand Hotel posing as four different characters - the paramour, the dreamer, the voyeur and the expressionist - directed by Jake Sumner (who just happens to be Sting's kid). The other player's Kelly Cutrone. She and People's Revolution helped produce the film, as well as another one revolved around the 'cozy sweater' that stars models instead, and will work on distributing it online and in stores. As long as everyone keeps making print advertisements, too, we welcome the day when every designer expresses themselves through impossibly glamourous short films.

Exclusive Preview: Christina Ricci Covers Oyster Magazine, Is Really Small
Our favorite Addams-Family-star-turned-retro-TV-stewardess Christina Ricci covers Oyster this month! In the fashion mag's newest issue, which hit newsstands today, the adorable Ms. Ricci talks about the benefits of being super-small (fitting in an airplane's overhead compartment), her Pan Am on-set pranks (playing dead), and her tendency towards on-stage panic attacks. Check out our preview of the cover shoot, styled by Stevie Dance and photographed by Gregory Harris. We're really digging the 1960s-good-girl-gone-a-little-bit-bad vibe of the spread, a theme often associated with the Pan Am actress. Aside from the airplane period drama being set in the early 60s, those Twiggy lashes were legit made for doll-eyed Christina.

And that’s just what happened on Sunday at the premiere of Haven’t We Met Before, Karan’s new hosiery commercial conceived and directed by Anjelica Huston, starring Felicity Jones and Smash’s Jack Davenport.
