We love Swedish label Acne's jeans, its ready-to-wear apparel and--most definitely--its sharp shoes. So it's no surprise we find head designer Jonny Johansson's debut furniture collection for the brand just as desirable. We love the sharp, skewed lines of the velvet pastel chairs and sofas--inspired by the work of the father of Scandinavian furniture design, Carl Malmsten--which were on display at an event in Paris last night. Look Book: Acne's Pre-Fall Collection Doesn't Dissapoint
Jonny Johansson's Pre-Fall collection for Acne was influenced by the women of Lismore Castle, a private Irish estate with past residents including Lady Charlotte Boyle and Adele Astaire, sister of Fred. "It inspired me to do something incredibly classic that I have never done before," said the designer. The result is a mix of mid-century silhouettes: midi skirts, shift dresses, pleated kilts, and mohair sweaters. We like.
