This question's about as old as black and blue, but it is almost spring. Sure, underwear as outerwear rears its head every March, but for SS10 it was, arguably, the most prevalent trend, in part because if lingerie wasn't featured on the top of an outfit, it was visible underneath all the sheer. The other day, WhoWhatWear suggested layering bright bras under sheer sweaters a la Emma Roberts and this morning, Vogue UK's Sarah Harris champions the look; she suggests Araks, Marks & Spencer and Stella McCartney bras. This weekend, I tried it out. I wore the black and blue Sonia Rykiel for H&M bodysuit with a pair of baggy boyfriend jeans -- it kind of felt like what I wanted to dress like in the late 90s (if I wasn't 13). I probably should have tested the look at some fashion related party where I'd still be the most boring instead of a local West Village bar. Regardless, I felt naked. And yet I have a feeling that this is the year in which everyone actually does wear lingerie. Will you?
