Immediately after the Charlotte Ronson show, I turned to Britt and said, "That was everything Erin Wasson should have been."
Charlotte Ronson doesn't try to do anything but what she's known for: cute, flirty clothes with a rock 'n' roll edge. And this season, that mix worked perfectly. Unlike Ms. Wasson's nightmare--a ratty mix of hobo un-chic that was anything but hip--Ronson knew exactly what her client was looking for: 1970s-inspired styles including some lovely long pleated skirts, frilly floral dresses and silk high-neck blouses with lacy accents.
The clothes were great, but the classic soundtrack, put together by her sister Samantha--Tom Petty, Joni Mitchell, Carly Simon--made me even happier. And so did the goody bag, which included makeup from newly-relaunched Hard Candy and a CD of the tracks played at the show. It's official: I heart Ronson!
