Who: Sharon Wauchob, the Paris-based, Irish designer who just landed a new gig as head designer of Edun, Bono and Ali Hewson's ethical clothing brand.
Where: Ecole des Beaux Arts, Paris.
Makeup: MAC's make up artist Lloyd Simmonds says, "Sharon wants to make a very strong statement, but she wants the girls to look beautiful. There's a little touch of gold in the collection so we htought we'd just go really clean all over the face with just a touch of gold in the corner of each eye to bring a little shine and some brilliance."
Hair: Bumble & bumble's Laurent Philipon kept calm despite the fact that most models arrived with Balenciaga's "pot of gel" in their hair and five girls remained uncoiffed at the scheduled start time. "The hair's stronger than it usually is at Sharon, it has a toughness to it. The sides are really slicked and when you look from afar it almost appears shaved. And then we're spraying a lot of Spray de Mode to make it look wet...and then we're using holding spray on the top because it's like lotion, but you can still work with the hair."
Clothes: A solid collection of slim coats and detailed leather jackets, shredded leather shifts over silk slips and the same effect duplicated on brightly colored slouchy dresses laced up the back. Olive green and black leather and suede peep toe boots laced up the leg and a few looks included elbow length gloves, like at last night's Rick Owens show.
