Last month, Jane Herman left her position at Vogue for a newly created role at Gap, Director of Mens and Womens Concept.
The daughter of LA retail mogul Ron Herman and muse to Maroon 5's Songs About Jane had been a fashion writer at the magazine for a couple of years. She covered everything from fashion to woofing, and always seemed like the most down to earth Vogue-ette.
But instead of filling her position, a source says the magazine will "fill the workload internally to save money."
Bummer for anyone tripping over themselves to land at 4 Times Square, but good news for those who had to give up their town cars -- how many rides can a Vogue salary buy?
