After much speculation as to where ex-Elle style director (and constant street style bait) Kate Lanphear would end up after leaving the glossy a few months ago, it looks like we finally have an answer.
Looks like more editorial shakeups are on the way over at Elle.
Just one month after the magazine lost two of its senior accessories editor, a reliable source has told us that Kate Lanphear, Elle's Style Director, is also leaving the title.
Elizabeth Olsen, sister of Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen, stars in V's upcoming "Discovery" issue, which features plenty of young Hollywood's rising stars. Fashionista contributor John Ortved wrote the piece on Olsen, who was nominated by Chace Crawford to be the issue's "New Ingenue." John writes: "Unlike her famous child-actor sisters, this is her first real kick at the can. Instead of using their near-infinite connections, Olsen has taken the long road – studying acting, educating herself, working as an understudy."
Not only does she resemble her oh-so-famous sisters physically, the 21-year-old actress looks like she might have a flair for fashion as well.
A new issue of Dossier, one of our favorite glossies (and How I'm Making It panelists), drops this week and from what we've seen, it will be a good one. Yoko Ono follows Andrej Pejic as the latest Dossier cover star. Issue 8 features contributions from her as well as Kiki Smith, Hans Ulrich Obrist, Michael Stipe, Stevie Nicks, George Saunders, Robert Longo, Tom Sachs, Cyprien Gallard, Aimee Mullins, Nate Lowman, Devendra Banhart, Sloane Crosley, Olympia Le-Tan and AF Vandevorst, to name a few.
The ladies at Dossier were nice enough to send us an exclusive preview featuring one of our favorite models, Australian beauty Bambi Northwood-Blyth, shot by Dan Martensen. She does that whole rough around the edges, but still insanely gorgeous thing in a way that we'll never be able to replicate. Click through to check it out!
