The Met's Costume Ball is little more than a month away, and rumors have finally started to swirl.
It's the first ball under Sylvana Soto-Ward's reign as Vogue's Director of Special Events, Oprah's hosting and Gap is sponsoring.
Gap's sponsorship means money, but if it were any other brand it'd also mean serious red carpet visibility. It's been years since anyone wore Gap on the red carpet, and while we can bet Virginia Smith will rock a plaid button down and long skirt, it'll be hard to get cotton on anyone else.
Unless of course Patrick Robinson---Gap's head designer and Virginia's husband---custom makes a gown or two, which we hear he'll be doing. Will Patrick dress Oprah? Maybe. If not, we hear she was just on the phone with Oscar De La Renta.
