"I came to New York originally in 1976, and then I got this part in Annie...I was a little girl, and for some reason they always invited the cast of Annie to Studio 54, so there I was at thirteen and fourteen, and the doorman would usher us in, literally underneath his arms. And it was 1977 in New York City, and you couldn't be alive and not know the name Halston....There was every reason to say no, and there were very compelling reasons to say yes." --Sarah Jessica Parker on Halston, in Vogue.
Sarah Jessica Parker Has Left Halston Heritage
It was a blink and you missed it throwaway line in Sarah Jessica Parker's Vogue cover story that we admit went right over our heads (thanks to Fashionologie for bringing it to our attention)--a little phrase that essentially announced the end of Sarah Jessica Parker's relationship with Halston's contemporary label, Halston Heritage, which began in January of last year. Eve MacSweeney writes: When Sex and the City, to her own surprise, made her a fashion star, she launched her own design label and perfumes, as well as signing on to run the Halston Heritage label, a relationship that recently came to an end.
